My apologies for not posting in over a week, I was away for last weekend and busy for the rest of the time. However, aside from a few updates on iSoaker.com, it appears we haven't missed much.

iSoaker.com touched up some of its flash movies and announced that it was announced on Yahoo Singapore's picks of the week. More information can be found there...

The Aqua-Nexus has done some unannounced updating over the last week, Adding ads to the Match-Maker Classifieds, and bringing the War stories total up to 23 (2 shy of tying Water Weapons of Mass Destruction for the most war stories.) I greatly thank all those who submitted to the Nexus over the last week.
Also changed around is the Aqua-Nexus Site history (Information Station>CWSL Page>Aqua-Nexus Site History), the Site Revisions section has been redone, complete with screen shots of the page layouts over the while the Aqua-Nexus has been running. It's a good read. See it here...

A New site has been added to the Aquatica Webring, Commander Bob's "H2O Commandos" page - a page set up for a local fight group and others set up world wide under the H2O Commandos flag - became the 13th page inducted into the Aquatica Webring... "Welcome aboard!" from the Nexus.

That's all the news at this hour, remember to check back for more!

Interesting Day!
Super Soaker Arsenal, the First Soaker page on the Internet, has updated for the first time since January 21st 1998, adding links to all modern/updated Websites. Webmaster Ian Helfrich, writer of SS.com's "Reservoir", has informed Aquatica that he plans to enter the Site into the Aquatica Webring. A Whole harted "Welcome Back!" from the Aqua-Nexus!. I had a feeling that one of the Derlict pages from 1998 and before would return in 2000, But I never would have guessed Super Soaker Arsenal!

Speaking of "Welcome back!"'s, Hydrophiles has returned to the online world since it Went down on June 8th. It also has a new URL. Go See it At http://soakers.ravenousbirds.com/. Don't forget to bookmark it either. :)

Liquid Warfare has repaired the Site's navigation. Now you can actually view the pages! Heh, It's as good as new now. Go See.

iSoaker.com has added a "World Classified Link" both to the Main page AND to iSoaker world. A link to where? Aqua-Nexus's New "Match Maker" Classifieds section on the Interactive Bar. Now you can search for a Soakin' buddy with the power of the web. It's bare at the moment, so post an ad to help get it going. Information for posting can be found on the Classified Ads page or by going here.

Anyway, that's it for today. Remember, You Heard it FIRST on the Nexus Newswire!

Some special news to report from behind the scenes of the Aqua-Nexus. The Canada-World Soaker League - the founding organization behind this great site - celebrates it's 7th anniversary. Unfortunately since temperatures haven't agreed with this date, any kind of "Wet Welcome" has been postponed... More information on this Anniversary can be found in the 6/12/1999 report of the Newswire.

Aquatech..err..iSoaker.com is also in the news today, after just adding a review for a Power Soaker Mini-Cannon. They've also added links on the main page to major pages across the site. Check it out!

That seems to be it so far...
Remember that you read it FIRST on the Nexus Newswire...

An Interesting Day Online. 2 Sites shake the ground today with recent events. Read on for more...

Aquatechnology undergoes a great metamorphosis, Shutting down the old site at http://www.globalserve.net/~harlequin/Aquatech/and reactivating the site under a new name at www.iSoaker.com... So, everyone must be on the lookout for iSoaker: For the Extreme Water Warrior, the NEW Face of Aquatechnology. More on this story by Going to www.iSoaker.com.

Hydrophiles has shut down until at least June 20th. Edwin Olson, webmaster of Hydrophiles, has posted on Aquatica Yahoo Club conserning the Site failure, stating that he ran out of time to get the Site's server going before moving. Look forward to the Aqua-Nexus to keep you posted.

At the Aqua-Nexus, it's business as usual. Another War Story was posted, bringing the total to 21 Stories. 4 More to go before Tying Water Weapons of Mass Destruction for top spot... So keep them coming... Cleaned up a few things and fix others, if you see something wrong - Let Me Know. Speaking of which, some simple Guidelines to submitting to the Aqua-Nexus have been laid out in the Interactive section. See them Here...
ALSO NEW AT THE NEXUS is an information guide on the Flash logo of the "Home" page. Aimed at better serving and informing Newcomers as well as frequent visitors, this new addition will assist you by conveying information of the Nexus and its sections, as well as a Chart of "Objectives" for this month and the near future... Check it out!

That's the News for today. Stay tuned.

Added another War Story. 6 More to Go! Keep them coming...

Also, this is another day in Nexus History, A Year ago today, 6/02/1999, The Super Soaker review database was completed, becoming the first full database of Gun pictures on the Internet. (Weither or not a torn down page has done this before is beyond me, but all existing pages at the time were incomplete). Only 2 Months after being online too!

Aquatechnology has updated, adding another war story to it's War Journals Section. Funnily, the same one the Nexus has added. Go there to find out...

Liquid Warfare has updated, the Reviews section has been completed, but the Navigation is very buggy.

Contest Start/Finish dates on SuperSoaker.com are incorrect on the CPS3200 contest. They should be June 1st to June 30th, with the winners announced on July 7th or so.

Remember, you read it FIRST on the NEXUS NEWSWIRE.

WELCOME TO JUNE!
As the days grow longer, we start to feel differently about our global boredom. If you listen closely, you can hear the world getting gradually closer to the Summer Solistice. How can we tell that the Beginning of summer is coming without any sense of noise or vibration, or without looking outside or at a Calendar?(well, there was a calendar before I got playing with my 1700 indoors...  Again.) Simple...
Listen for the Sound of Soakers firing. Because it's the best sign...
And if you're not firing yours yet, you're wasting time - get out there and fire your own off... Even if you only have yourself to shoot...
IT HAS BEGUN!!!
Finally..
In other news...
Just making a few random updates to the Nexus.
Added the 18th War Story to the Aqua-Nexus. DePhiAnT has a long story to tell ya this time :) We're only 7 away from Tying Water Weapons of Mass Destruction for 25 Stories, so Keep them coming!

Aquatechnology has done a few modifications to the site, or should I say, it is devoid of Modifications - conforming to a recently set guideline banning Mods from Sites across Aquatica. (Aqua-Nexus is now free of Mods as well). Other things have been done as well... Such as, a new Flash Splash images - commemorating Aquatech's 2nd summer of serious service to the Soaker Online world, and an official request for Storm Water Weaponry review submissions. Go there to find out...

Which brings us to another tidbit of info to discuss. As part of an effort to gain Official SuperSoaker.com recogintion, Aquatica Webring has announced on the Aquatica Yahoo Club, that sites in the Ring must not contain any Modifications. (A Modification is something that is done to the gun which changes the structure or performance of the gun from its original design. These can be hazardous to both the Guns user as well as to the gun.). Aqua-Nexus stands by this decision.

Also, another site graces us this week with its construction, not just any site however. This time we welcome back Super Soakers Forever, a site which has served the internet since 1997, until it was taken down (due to lack of feedback) in the Summer of 1999. Nothing has been put up yet, as the work on the site has just begun, but time will tell. A Welcome Back from the Nexus! Go check it out...

Also, as announced in the last Newswire report, Aqua-Nexus had switched back to a counter from TheCounter.com. It was switched back to Bravenet.net later that day due to loading propblems - the same ones that forced me to switch in the first place... Isn't there at least One competent free stat-tracking counter provider out there? Gad...

That's the News!

-=SECOND REPORT=-
