A detailed benchmark for
the XP 65 has been added... First benchmark added since 5/08/2000.
Hopefully more reviews to come soon, but no Guarentees.
iSoaker.com
is currently undergoing a series of conversions, changing its current all
Metric system to both Metric and Imperial measures. (Funny, it's usually
the other way around :P )
Also, a New site, "Splashdown!"
has been added to the Aquatica Webring. This site has some reviews, tactics,
Polls and some other goodies like desktop wallpaper, as well as a good
look to it.
That's the news for today...

The last traces of MiB
Alliance on the Internet have been eliminated...
MiB Alliance Yahoo club
has been officially unlisted from the Yahoo Clubs listings. Aquatica
has now taken over the #2 Spot on the Yahoo Clubs listings, has become
the #1 Super Soaker Forum online, and is well on its way to becoming the
Official Super Soaker Yahoo club.

As if this week hasn't
been full of news already, more has come along. The MiB
Alliance website has officially closed it's doors for good.
A message has been posted
on the main page of the site stating the resolution of the final events,
and a thank you to all those who Visited or Supported MiB over the years.
Currently, the last online traces remaining of MiB is the MiB
Yahoo Club, which will also be shut down by Aquatica,
this weekend, July 22nd or 23rd.
Also, in Aqua-Nexus personal
news, the SuperSoaker Review menu has been changed over to a "Tab" like
format. Figured it'd be a nice touch. Also, a section for the "Match-Maker"
Classifieds has been added to the Submissions
Guidelines in the Interactive Section.

Aquatica
has announced that the Official removal of MiB
from Yahoo Club listings will take place over this coming weekend. MiB,
1999's most popular Yahoo Club for Super Soakers and Currently #2 in the
Yahoo Clubs "Toys" Catagory with 110 members, has long since died off as
the most popular Soaker Club as it was replaced with the even more successful
"Aquatica"
Yahoo Club (Which is currently #3 with 95 members). With MiB Club out of
the way of the Growing Aquatica
Yahoo Club, Aquatica stands to become the Most Popular Super Soaker Forum
on the Internet - and possibly the OFFICIAL Super Soaker Yahoo Club.

Some news today for you.
MiB has agreed to give control
of the MiB
Yahoo Club to the Aqua-Nexus Webmaster/Aquatica Co-Founder, therefore
handing control over to the Aquatica Organization. The Current plan is
to first make the MiB Club Unlisted - therefore removing it from the path
of Aquatica on the Top toy clubs list, making Aquatica
Yahoo Club the #2 Club in the Toys Catagory, and the #1 Super Soaker
Club online. (Where, it is hoped, Aquatica will be made the Official Super
Soaker Yahoo club on the web.) The MiB Club will then be Archived for the
history of Soakers online. We are still awaiting final confirmation of
this from MiB.
iSoaker.com
makes some noise as well today, opening a New Section on the site called
"iSoaker Exchange", where, people can buy, sell, trade soakers online...
As for here on the Nexus,
this place isn't quiet as well. If you haven't noticed, on the July 15th
posting in the Newswire I said that the 25th War Story was added. War Story
#25 was delayed, but has been posted now. It is a special memory better
known as the First battle of the C-WSL. Also, Story #26, another story
by me, has been posted, Giving the Aqua-Nexus the Largest War Story
Database ONLINE!... So please, Post a War
Story, you have made the Aqua-Nexus the best place online for them,
and only you can keep it that way! :)
Also posted is a better
picture of the XP 250, replacing the
pixelated garbage that was there before. (Thank's eBay!)
SECOND
REPORT
MiB has given the Final Confirmation
for the Aquatica Takeover of the MiB Alliance Club. More information on
this will be made available hopefully later today, if not, tomorrow.
Super Soaker Warrior out.

Some sad news today, MiB
Alliance founder Paul Quinnell, in a public message on the MiB
Yahoo Club, has officially announced that he is calling it quits from
the Online Soaker world... This comes as a surprise, even though MiB hasn't
been updated since February, and the Yahoo club hasn't seen much action
since Aquatica
Yahoo Club took over in March 2000. It seems that with not many of
the MiB members left and his current addiction to Pokemon, Paul sees no
reason to keep up with Soakers online.
He has announced he is looking
to hand the Control of the 109 member club to anyone he deems worthy of
having it, or Deleting the Club from the surface of the Web... Aquatica
Co-Founder and Aqua-Nexus Webmaster Nick Lowe is currently engaged in bidding
for control of the Old club.
MiB Alliance, formerly the
GSU Super Soaker Center, has been online since Spring 1998 (I think), and
has been one of the best Soaker sites online, although in the most recent
generation of the site, has become a mere shadow of it's former self. However,
there is alot more to MiB than just the webpage. Since September 1998,
the MiB Club was the first Yahoo club for SuperSoakers, and was the first
club to bring the Online public together(with the Help of the Aqua-Nexus
and Mikah's
SS Page), and coincidentally, the Club was the most active Soaker club
online from April 1999 to New Years 2000.
Most sites die without notice,
the real sites announce their retirement. MiB... I will remember.
Whenever you get a chance
today, load up you biggest blaster and fire it off in memory of MiB...
In other news, iSoaker.com
adds a review to the "Classic Series XP75" A Re-release model from a set
of older blasters released last year. Not many physical differences other
than a 90 degree tank screw-mount for increased durability.
That seems to be all for
now... Stay tuned.

Welcome to the New Aqua-Nexus!
As you can plainly see,
the new background is in place, the page has been restyled, and NO POP-UPS!
Isn't it great?
Anyway, the site has been
resized for faster loading as well as reduced size, and a few things updated/added.
The Buyers Guide (Information Station>Tips) has finally been updated for
the the 2000 series guns, and 2 new War Stories have been added, Finally
Tying the Aqua-Nexus for first place with Water
Weapons of Mass Destruction for the Most War Stories at 25. Thank you
for making the Aqua-Nexus one of the best website for Soakers online!
Some news over at iSoaker.com,
a first online look at the WWF Undertaker Super Soaker. Worth a look.
Seems to be everything at
this point in time.... Keep visiting the Nexus for more information over
the course of the next two weeks...

Aqua-Nexus has shut down for Upgrading/Moving.
Hopefully this weekend,
preferably the 15th, the NEW Aqua-Nexus will be released.
Over the last weekend, I've
been toying with several ideas to make the Nexus better, by reducing the
size and numbers of files by deleting old files, unneeded files, unused
files, etc. As well as reducing image sizes without sacrificing quality...
I ended up reducing the total size of the Nexus from (as of this report)
5.71mb to a stunning 3.58mb!
The Aqua-Nexus is finally
small enough to fit into the 5 megs my Internet Provider gives me, meaning
NO
MORE TRIPOD POP-UPS!!!
Hopefully this will come
as great news to all...
As not to waste the moment,
at this coming weekend's release date WILL feature several new design enhancements
over the original to make the site more professional and appealling.
So you see, The Nexus has
been busy over this last quiet week! ;)
As for other news, None to
important to report in full at the moment - just iSoaker.com
further updating it's MonsterXL Feature Blaster review. Quite nice...
-=TAKE NO PRISONERS!!=-

Happy Independance
Day!
Can't forget about our American
Soakin' buddies can we?
And for the news...
iSoaker.com
has set up a Feature Blaster system., where a Certain blaster is looked
at more closely than other blasters. Current Feature Blaster - Monster
XL.
Mikah's
SS Page has Edited it's links page, setting apart the Updated and Unupdated
- and the no longer existant...

HAPPY
CANADA
DAY!!!
Yeah! Exactly 133 years
ago today, those wacky guys on Parlement hill put together this great country
- the True North STRONG and Free... (As you may have guessed, the Nexus
is run by a Canadian, woohoo!)
Anyway, not much news to
report, except maybe WELCOME TO JULY!! If you
haven't been out soaking, these are the hotest days of the year, grab your
gun!
The New Reservoir
should be released today sometime - my sources tell me that this month
we'll get a look at the Monster (Not the
MXL,
we've seen that on SS.com
already). There should also be a new Contest opening up, with 5 Monsters
to give away, and 1 Monster XL Grand
Prize!
iSoaker.com's
news lately has been that the iSoaker Forum - the Message Board there,
has been closed due to lack of interest/traffic.
That seems to be all for
now, Check back later for more...
