Two more SuperSoaker.com representatives have joined Aquatica's Yahoo Club. The Graphical designer of SS.com has joined as "Soakerchick", and the One and Only Ian Helfrich of Reservoir fame has signed on as "Reservoir_Guy".
Also Last Night on Aquatica club, there was a Club Chat session in which Mr. Helfrich was able to get to know the Aquatica Co-Founders - Aqua-Nexus and Aquatechnology, as well as a few members who were on hand, a little better... Know what? He's a Soaker Fan just like the rest of us. :)
He also mentioned he was working on a report for the CPS-3200, however, it is unclear if this will be for the June Reservoir...  More on that later...

In other recent news, 3 sites have joined the Aquatica Webring... Tsunami The New Super Soaker Wave, Jazzsoak, and last but not least, HydroPhiles. (Hydrophiles was first announced upon discovery on the 3/08/2000 report of the Nexus Newswire)

That's the News, Busy Day!

SECOND REPORT
Changed the Nexus Counter from Bravenet.net back to TheCounter.com due to lousy service. Aquatechnology has done the same.
Aqua-Nexus Links page updated.
"Super Soaker World" has joined the Aquatica Webring.

Today's report is a bit of a special one, as we have some really neat Information to hand down this time...

Inside information has been uncovered upon the fate of Certain items on SuperSoaker.com. They have been uncovered by Aquatechnology, and are as follows...
-The Splashdown Section of SuperSoaker.com is dead, and there is no intention of it being restarted. All Splashdown items have been taken over by either The Reservior, or the Site's main page.
-All Images in the SuperSoaker Media section (Available on a link at the bottom of the SuperSoaker.com Main page) are free for Individual webpage use on websites, with no "SuperSoaker.com" markings. (It is, however, uncertain how long this will last.)(Also, don't forget, Aquatica also has Gun Pictures available to members)

Also in the News, and also relating to SuperSoaker.com... The Aquatica Yahoo club's Member list has just been graced by someone going by the name of Supersoaker_com. Both Aquatica Co-Founders, Aqua-Nexus and Aquatechnology, have been in contact with this person, and have verified that it is indeed the Webmaster, or at least a representative of The Primary Watergun website. More information on this as it becomes available.

Also, an inside source reports that the Next blaster contest on SuperSoaker.com Starting June 1st, will feature a give-away of CPS-3200 blasters, but it is uncertain if this is true. More information on this as it becomes available...

And remember, you heard it FIRST on the NEXUS NEWSWIRE!!

Happy Soaking!

Just making a few random updates to the Nexus.
Added some pictures to the New Gallery section. One is an Awesome Camoflauge job done on the CPS3200, and the other is a Little Goof-up I found in the CPS1700 Commercial (Available for Viewing on SuperSoaker.com). Both are worth a look. They can be found on the Information Station "General Information" section, under "Gallery".

Big Changes over at Liquid Warfare, the site is undergoing a complete face lift. Navigation in the Reviews section is a bit off at the moment due to non-existent pages, but It's Looking good. Keep up the Good Work! I suggest you go see it!.

Aquatechnology hasn't been silent either, adding a submitted SC500 modification to the site.

It's getting warmer, the Time for Soaking is at hand, so get busy and get wet!

This happened a while ago, but it was only recently discovered. Brynet-Hydroland has been shut down, apparently the webmaster was displeased with the designs of the new 2000 weapons. Agreed, they're a bit cheesy coloured, but I see no reason to quit over them. Anything can be painted over... There is a great peace to be found in merely accepting how things are...

Liquid Warfare has added an Intro-Page, complete with a Site logo.

And The Flash Flood Memorial Salute had a low turnout today, as the event even slipped my Mind... Therefore, If you didn't pay tribute to Flash Flood today, but want to, Grab your largest gun and fire it off in memory whenever you can this week, then Post "I Will Remember" on either the Aquatica Yahoo Club board, or the Aqua-Nexus Message Board... I know I will.

And Issue #2 of the Aquatica Newsletter was finally released yesterday. The Issue was held back from the Intended Launch Date of Mid-April due lack of input.

That's the News!

Just making some random touchups to the Nexus.

Added a Gallery section to the Information Station. It can be found on the General Information submenu.
The Fan Fiction section has been removed to make room. Fan Fiction will, however, be put back on once some has been submitted.

Aquatechnology has added a few submissions, a Design for Targets and a review for the XP 150.

Liquid Warfare has updated, polishing up the links section.

That's about it for today...

A Special Detailed Benchmark Review of the Monster XL has just been posted!
You can see it by going to the Monster XL page in the SS Reviews section, or by going here.

Also, yet another War Story has been added to the War Stories section of the Information Station.

Another Special report.
In memory of the Legendary Flash Flood, Aquatica and The Aqua-Nexus would like to ask you to pay tribute to the Website's closure.
On Sunday May 14th, 2000, between the Hours of 4-5pm in your time zone, Fill your largest blaster, set it to it's largest Nozzle, and fire it into the Air, as a Salute. Then come back to the Aqua-Nexus, Go to the Message Board (Interactive Section) or the Aquatica Yahoo Club, and Say "I will Remember...".
It's the Least We Can Do...
Flash Flood, as reported in the last news report, has been officially shut down for good. Flash Flood was one of the first SS Sites online, and one of the last ones remaining from the Days when Soakers Online was new. Flash Flood helped pioneer Super Soakers Online, and will be missed.
So Please, Take Part in the Flash Flood Memorial Salute!

Aquatechnology has produced more output figures. Go there to see them...

That's the News!

Today, The Aqua-Nexus is announcing an event of Monsterous Proportions.
Monster is right. The Aqua-Nexus has just yesterday Acquired a Brand Spankin' New Super Charger Monster XL for Review and Benchmark. The benchmark will be quite a while in the works due to the Striking number of details generated by the insane number of Nozzles. (Those Nozzles have uses though, wiether it be for The Ultimate SOAK Machine, or a Watering Can for your garden.) Hopefully the first signs of a Review and Detailed Benchmark will appear tomorrow.

Aquatechnology is in the news, completing more Output tests on Various Weaponry.

--==NEWSBREAK==--

Flash Flood is in the News today, but more importantly, for the last time...
Thats right, Matt Lindsay of Flash Flood has posted a note on the main page of the site saying that everything on the site is free for copying, and has called it quits - moving onto more important things. Flash Flood, if any of you know,  was one of the First Super Soaker webpages on the Internet, started many years ago. Today's message marks the end of an era.
Rest In Peace Flash Flood, You Will be Missed. Go See It...

An Interesting Day... That's the News

5/04/2000
May's issue of The Reservior on SuperSoaker.com has been posted. This Months pick: CPS 2700.

Aquatechnology added Output (oz/sec, Water Deliverance, Squirtage, whatever you want to call it) measuments to a good deal of the the reviews. More Information there.

WELCOME TO MAY!
The First Official Month of the Soakin' Season. Happy Days are Here Again!

I'd like to kick off this Newswire report with one special note. May 2000 marks the Dawn of the 1st full year of Online Soaker Coverage by the Nexus NewsWire. The First report on the Newswire was on 5/05/1999, and since then, the Small upstart page roots grew into what you see before you.
Originally, this News page started as an experimental form of a Newsletter, instead of a Biweekly submission, a News update whenever anything happens. Later, the Nexus Newswire expanded to reporting Updates on other sites as well as here on the Nexus. Since then, the Nexus Newswire has become a Startling success. Life is full of bumps, I can make no guarentees but I will try to maintain coverage for the 2000 Soaker Season. So make the Nexus Newswire YOUR Prime Source of Super Soaker Information!

And without further monologous trauma, here's the News.

Aquatechnology has been busy, adding 2 new Gun reviews for the Monster, and the CPS 1700. You can see them by going here.
Mikah's SS Page has updated, fixing some errors on the SuperCharger Triple Charge review. This happened on April 26th.

Aquatica has announced that it's 2nd installment of the Newsletter has been delayed for Early May. Which brings us to something. Aquatica Newsletter Needs your help to survive. The Newsletter cannot survive on 2 people writing articles. Aquatica needs whatever it can get. If you have an article to send along, no matter how big or small it is, Aquatica greatly appreciates any Support you can give... Remember Aquatica is here for you, the Soaker Fan...
Articles can be sent to either Aquatica, Aqua-Nexus, or Aquatechnology.
Aquatica Newsletter: aquaticanews@yahoo.ca
Aqua-Nexus: winkyweirdow@netscape.net OR ronlowe@nbnet.nb.ca
