Aqua Pack

Postby Croc on Sun May 07, 2006 8:17 am

I just recently got a Water Warriors Aqua Pack, and when I tried it out, it had a much longer shot time than just 2 minutes on the lowest nozzle setting. I got about 3:45 for a shot time, and I was like Holy ****! Thats long!
Here were my shot times (until stream was useless) I have it set up like this
nozzle-minutes:seconds
.9x- 3:45 (lowest nozzle)
3x- 1:00 (middle size stream)
4x- 0:45 (largest nozzle)
Fan- 1:10
EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but there are 2 PCs inside the backpack of the aqua pack, hence the 2 bar pump

How's the range on it? I used to want one but I'm slowly drifting away from it, and if it has good range I just might want it again,
I was an idiot!!! I saw a CPS 4100, CPS 2100 and a Monster XL, yet i decided on an EES Turbine!!!

From what I've heard, range is in the lower 40s, not too bad for a post-2002 gun. "Good" range on my poor-to-superior ranges scale.

No. I've heard it only gets 30 feet or less. I'd have gotten one if it got 40 feet! You must be thinking of somthing else.

The aqua pack shoots about the same distance as a Max-D 6000 or the FF nozzle, on the lowest setting
on the next stream, it shots the range of a Max-D 5000
4x shoots about 5 metres+, im not sure of exact measurements (I will test later)
Fan shoots same distance, if not shorter than the 4x

Sorry about double post, but the tank is very annoying. The straps should have pads! I intend to modify my backpack so that it doesnt drag my shoulders down

I have a question. Are we talking about the Aqua Pack(Super Soaker) or Hydra Pack(Water Warriors)? Because people here are refering to both. It apears from the stats we are talking about the Hydra pack.

Definitely referring to the Water Warriors Aqua Pak/Hydra Pak. The Aquapack Devastator doesn't have a multiple nozzle selector. Croc's initial post even states 'Water Warriors Aqua Pack'.

Having tried CROC's hydrapack, I can't decide whether to get one myself or not. the shot times are amazing, the range is good on the .9x and 3x nozzles, but pumping for 3 or so minutes doesn't appeal to me. Another disadvantage about pumping is that you can't tell when to stop, because pumping is already very hard to begin with. Any suggestions?

How much$$$ and where to get it? They should've put the pump on the gun so that of your fighting someone and your shot times up you can pump, other wise you'd need a sidearm or a friend to pump it for you....

It's about $20 at Toys R Us. I guess the point of putting the pump on the backpack was to keep the gun pistol sized and prevent it from being unwieldy. Also it probably wouldn't function properly unless the PC's were on the gun as well. Now picture that, 6L reservoir with 4.5L PC's in one peice, somebody said something about the monster XL being big?:p

the gun was almost 23$ with taxes (19.99 without tax)
And mr. dude is right, but the pump feels very weak, so you dont go over-exerting yourself and breaking it :D although it seems like a good idea to use the largest nozzle possible, it is not recommended, as mr.dude can prove. The stream does not go too far

When did I say that? Though it does feel weak, I said it's extremely hard to pump.

well, i meant that you were right about the part of the keeping the gun pistol sized. Would a 5 year old hold a CPS 2000, a heavy rifle with ease? They made it have the backpack so that little kids could carry the gun around

What good is a pistol sized gun if the kid using it can't pump it?

@supersoaker- dont post the same thing twice. It could annoy some people
The gun was probably intended for slightly older people than most other WW guns though.

When someone posts the exact same thing twice, it is usually an error involving post data not being sent correctly.
