Soaker Wishlist - Which soakers do you long for?

For discussions and reviews of water blasters in general

Postby DX on Tue Apr 18, 2006 10:16 pm

To each his own. Some people like the balance of having some large, medium, and small soakers with varying levels of power. I do too, just in a different way than most. Instead of buying different sized stock soakers, I mod/build different sized/powered guns. :p It's a common concept, and fully understandable. The allies thought they could win the African campaign in WWII without light armor in addition to heavy armor [by armor I mean tank- related vehicles], and they were wrong. Then again in soaking, you can make a small gun more powerful than a large one. It's all the angle/approach you take.

I just got into SuperSoakers recently, so I haven't seen everything yet. Actually, I just joined iSoaker today, so...yeah.

Among the ones I like so far, though, are:

Monster X
Monster XL
Splashzooka
CPS 2000
CPS 2500
CPS 2700
CPS 2100

I don't have any good Soakers at all, though, except for a few dumbed-down Hasbro versions I got at a birthday party a few years ago.

If anyone would like to help me start building a collection (I need at least 1-2 guns for summer camp
:D ), that would be awesome.

I'd love to have a CPS 1500 or 2000, but since there's almost no chance of me getting any of the older soakers, I'll pick from what's on the market today:

Something from the Water Warriors PreChargers set
MI Helix
MI Defender (just 'cause I like the shape of it)
Somewhat interested in the Hydroblade

Me too, i think that scince the cps series ended and hasbro started super soaker took a big toll and went down. i just wish i could could get a good cps or two cause i'm a bit young for my age and not so much of a veteran so i would like any of the old guns that were good, (cps 100, cps 2100, monster x, a light siade arm, overload.:p

i also wish to have my old long lost xp270..... sigh....:(

I don't have a ton of the older CPS, but that is what I really love...especially the 3200 and 3000's...

Well, I just thought of another one. It's really rare, I haven't seen it on eBay. The XP Pool Pumper Blaster. The firing chambers are as big as the reservoirs on some guns. Also, it is easily backpack-moddable. It gets fair range, and great shot time.

Oh, and the XP 90 Pulse Fire. Just looks interesting.

(Skipping all the XP's that I don't have...there are just too many)

CPS 2100
CPS 3000 (Need a replacement)
CPS 1700
CPS 1200
You can never have enough CPS 2000's...

And way down....the new guns.

There's nothing wrong with some of the new guns. Water Warriors, Flash Flood... they're good guns. :)

I'm just saying that I'd rather get some of the old before the new.

CPS 2500
CPS 3200
SS/XP 300
CPS 2100
SC Power Pak
CPS 1500/1700
XP 150 (I think that's the name)

I'd kinda like a Shout 'n' Shoot II. It would probably make a great backup, as it is hands-free. ZOCCOZ mentioned something about it, I think he's doing a review. I'm rather interested in what kind of range it gets.
