I do recall mentioning several years ago that I never liked that idea (since one used to be able to quickly change the URL to look up a blaster), but I guess its easier to organize the directories that way. (As I'm slowly learning in my web design class, hah.)
As an aside, there's a iSoaker.com hack that still works.
Try this link: http://www.isoaker.com/Armoury/soaker_s ... D=explorer
If you change the search term after the "=" in that URL, you'll be able to navigate to pretty much all blasters in the database. Of course, if doesn't take you directly to the page in question (I considered making it just load the desired page if only one value was returned), but wanted to push visitors to use the Product Listng page more.
Ever since I started using a database for iSoaker.com, all the reviews were always sorted by date, but visitors never got down that path since I had the info pulled from the inner files into the active page. Since I opted to make fixed links (makes it easier for search engines to index), I ended up opting to show the date organization. Definitely simplifies managing all the asset files every review needs as well.
