Good Lending Blasters

Postby martianshark on Thu Feb 24, 2011 11:31 pm

I'm not really willing to lend out vintage CPSs in water fights since most people don't really know how to use them. So I'm looking for affordable blasters that don't matter too much if they get broken. I think a few Ultimate Outlaws would be a good choice since they're cheap, small, and pretty powerful. What would you recommend?

I would encourage people to buy their own blasters before the war instead of lending. The first thing I would lend are piston pumpers. After that, I'd lend the WW Ultimate pistols; like you said. I would never lend anything from Larami (especially CPS) to someone with little experience, but if someone had experience they'd have their own guns.

Lend them a tiger shark or another large WW. They are competitive with some older guns, but aren't worth enough to worry about them breaking. I don't think it would be fair to lend out WW outlaws, and come charging with a CPS.

I'm not in charge of the war, so I can't really tell people to just buy their own blasters. And outlaws are powerful enough for the soakfest I'm planning for.

I too, cannot really force people to buy. Instead, the best way is to ensure that you're getting only mature players, and to show them how to operate the blasters properly. You don't have to waste time showing them how to prime the blasters, but do make sure that they aren't don't anything obscenely stupid like leaving free pumps hanging around. One time a friend picked up one of my Rapid Fire 20's by the pump. If it was a water blaster, there would've been a good chance of it getting messed up.

Many players in my water wars however, have handled water guns so I trust them with CPS's which are fairly reliable blasters anyhow.
