Adding more info to the iSoaker database

Postby isoaker on Mon Dec 20, 2010 12:26 pm

My next lil' project for iSoaker.com will involve adding in additional information and some more product info on rarer items into the iSoaker Product database. After going through what's currently online, the one two items I'm not sure about release dates ended up being the Aqua Force water gun by Ohio Art and the Water Worms water toys. I do, however, have a bunch more info on various Super Soaker and related products I've been meaning to put online.

Of course, there are also a lot of other water blasters and water weaponry that I probably won't get to personally review, but perhaps should be added to the site. Blasters like the Saturators, Mizumi, etc. to that, I'd appreciate anyone's help on compiling additional information. If you know of a water blaster that's not on iSoaker.com (please, just no dime-store pistols since that'd be too much to handle), please post its name, maker, and copyright/release date if you can into this thread.

Thanks and soak on!

There's the Fisher Price Turbo Fillers. It's kind of like Super Chargers, but there's only one kind of blaster. I don't know about performance. Amazon wants $50 for it, although I think it was originally about $30. Link: http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Turb ... B001NXC0XS

Yeah, I will add in those Fisher Price blasters into the database in the near future.

Anything else?

Wow, I just realized something - You've got to review those new X-Ploderz blasters. They're everywhere. I'd really like to see what you have to say about them.

Chances are, I won't. At least, not for awhile. The thought of firing water-containing projectiles as opposed to simply filling a blaster with water goes against my general view of water weaponry. It's more akin to a water-based paintball; may be fun for some, but a rather different game world than water blasters.

I discontinued my order for the Hydro Cannon because it took them too long to get one. Isoaker, check the hydro Cannon out, if it is a great Soaker and worth to have, I will have another try to order one. Sorry, stupid shop!

I really hope it is CPS and not air pressure based...but I fear it is...

Darn. I think the Xploderz would be a good thing to review. They seem to be pretty popular, and I'd love to see how good they really are. I hope you review at least one sometime, or maybe add them to the database so at least we can review them.

I'm open to adding almost any water-dispensing device to the iSoaker.com database if a review is submitted. As for being popular, how are you judging that? As they are new items, not sure many have really tried them and some of the feedback I've seen has not been that positive.

I meant that a lot of people are noticing them, including Urban Taggers and Nerf Mods and Reviews. They are also in my Target right next to the nerf guns. I have not really seen any bad feedback, but I haven't seen any particularly good feedback either, so hopefully someone here will buy it and tell us how good it really is.

So are you going to add them? Does there need to be a page for you to review it? If not, how? I'm planning on getting one pretty soon. :)

Received martianshark's review on the XPloders XBlaster 200. Will be added to the iSoaker.com Database soon. Thanks!
