"Official" 2011 Super Soaker Catalog

Postby isoaker on Fri Dec 10, 2010 12:21 pm

Found the following after doing a fairly simple Google search.

Source: Hasbro Catalog Page
Link above has 2011 Nerf information as well.

Looks like the Super Soaker Hydro Cannon will be ~76cm long or so.. that's basically the same length as the Monster (2001)/CPS4100, though definitely looks less bulky than the older blasters.

Super Soaker Point Break is ~26cm which is about the length of a Super Soaker XP20 /Max-D 2000.
Super Soaker Scatter Blast is ~41cm which is about the length of a Super Soaker Arctic Shock, Vaporizer or Defender.
Super Soaker Thunder Storm is ~35cm which is about the length of a Super Soaker Triple Shot.
Super Soaker Tornado Strike is ~52cm which is about the length of a Super Soaker XP-90 or just slightly shorter than the Super Soaker XP310.

Granted, all lengths are based on package size so the actual blasters may be slightly shorter.

Edit: links appear and disappear oddly... here's a direct link to the Super Soaker PDF file

At least we now know that the Hydro Cannon is pressurized. I hope that it has a separate pressure chamber (Preferably CPS of course), and not a pressurized reservoir.

Well out of the 5 new blasters, the majority (3) have triggers, so that's good. The Hydro Cannon is really the only one I'm looking forward to though. Can't wait until someone *cough*iSoaker*cough* can get a hold of these new blasters and test them.

It says the water clips are campatable with three new super soakers. What's the third one?

By the way, that was your 100th post, thelaminator.

oh, thanks. EXTRA-LATE 100TH POST RAVE!!!
:cps2000: :xpbackfire: :cps2500:
Ok, rave over. :goofy:

anyhow, this elegid "third clip soaker" is probably going to be another one of hasbro's infamous "top-secret blaster release that isn't all that 'top-secret' as it's supposed to be", sorta like the NERF deploy.

EDIT 2 (1-4-11): Hasbro officially says that the blasters are ready for shipment near the end of the month (via nerfnation facebook page.)
lets hope all this nonsense over the Hydro Cannon and the "mystery third clip blaster" gets laid to rest during this time period as well :D

OFF-TOPIC: did you know the term "hydro cannon" can also refer to the most powerfull water-based pokemon move? look it up on youtube!

Looks like the line-up is completed or near completion. The link to the pdf posted in the OP has been updated, as well as the Facebook page.

The Point Break is the latest, which may possibly be a useful sidearm. Other than that and the HydroCannon, there's nothing worth being even slightly curious about.

They say the HydroCannon has recoil, that's probably a good sign, if it doesn't shoot that far it must at least have a good output. Lets just hope that it is more reliable than some of Hasbro's older half decent blasters, *Cough*Cough* CPS 4100 (or so I have heard), Flash Flood, and HydroBlitz (the last two I have had personal experience with). But If the HydroCannon does break you can always e-mail Hasbro, they will send you a replacement, and you don't even have to send the old one back! :D Did that with my FFs -- This isn't commonly known (I don't think) they say no where on there website about return policy, but I e-mailed them just a few days ago about my Longshot that broke and 2 days later they said a replacement was in the mail! (It actually broke like 3 years ago, but they don’t need to know that). :goofy:
Sorry if I got a little off topic, by the end off this post, but a lot of people here do that so I guess it isn’t that big a deal.

They said it was fake recoil, created by a motor perhaps. I'm holding off from speculating until I see the stats though. 35ft doesn't sound like anything to be worth looking at.
