Water Warfare Tournaments?

Postby TacticalTyphoon on Sat Jun 19, 2010 9:28 am

Since Hasbro holds the Nerf Dart Tag tournaments, don't you think there should be a Super Soaker Championship?

Even if it did mean using Hasbro's woeful blasters, wouldn't it be great for creating a bigger community by e-mailing Hasbro about the idea? I mean, Hasbro would benefit from bigger Super Soaker popularity because of the contest, we'd get more members joining....

Surely it's a good idea?

Yeah it sounds good. Although it would probably be like "Soaker wars showdown." or something like that, meaning that you can't use WW blasters or older SS's.

If it was Soaker Wars only, I'd have quite a field day crashing those parties after assembling an elite strike team. In all seriousness though, there's no surprise they'd severely limit the weaponry as they already do for Nerf tourneys. They probably dismiss having tourneys with soakers because they haven't made Soakertags in a while, and people can cheat if no tagging system is used.

You could simply have referees around the area, who are in clearly designated towers. There would be quite a few of them, and they would watch over all areas of the playing field, watching that nobody cheats (a.k.a any player who does not raise their arm in the air and return to base would be disqualified, obviously using One Hit Kills here. It would be like paintball).

EDIT: @ C-A: Haha, I like it. The new way to gatecrash; with a Larami CPS in one hand and a Water Balloon in the other. ;)

That sounds like a good idea. It might get people more interested, which could cause more people to join Soakerdom, plus discover the truth about super soakers.
