New manufacturer? Water Blasters Inc.

Postby SEAL on Wed Jun 09, 2010 3:50 pm

I found this when I was surfing the web: http://www.waterblaster.net

How 'bout that? They supposedly can shoot up to 60 feet, they're made out of good quality parts, made in USA, and they seem to be marketed towards teens/adults. (At least the XLR is anyway.) The XLR costs $19.95 on Horizon Hobby, but I'm not sure about the MINI. They're also available in Europe.

I would really love to get one and try it out. They are syringe based blasters however, so you would need a bucket on hand if you plan on using one of them in combat. But if they can shoot 60 feet it's worth it.

I don't know if anybody knows about these yet, I think it's a new company. (I'm not sure though.) But I haven't seen any topics on this, so I'll post it anyway.

Not a new manufacturer... many years old already. There's a link to them off of iSoaker.com.

Range depends on the user since they are simply large syringe piston-type blasters. Maybe some may be able to get 60', but that's likely your whole shot before you'll need to find a bucket to refill from.

Not new? Huh. I just assumed they were new because in the commercial it said: "Finally it's here, etc...". I never noticed the link on iSoaker before though.

I still would like to get one as I am rather strong, and I might be able to get 60' out of it. I would probably use it as a base defense weapon and put a couple of buckets in the base for refilling.

Why is this the blaster I've been waiting for? All it is is a stream machine, and not only that, the Stream Machine can get "70 feet" instead of 60. :goofy:

I doubt anyone can really get 60 ft, but for some reason, my syringe-gun-armed friends keep successfully attacking me from a distance.

Yeah, they can shoot 60ft if you're Chuck Norris. They're nothing more than typical syringes like the Stream Machines, pool cannons, etc. I'd take a good old CPS over any syringe any day.

Yeah, you're probably right. I don't think my parents would let be buy one anyway. (Let alone a $40+ CPS blaster.)

Hmm... what kind of blasters are you using?

Then get a CPS for $20-$30, like the CPS 1000, 1200, or 2100.

My brother actually wants to get a 1000. I'll keep checking eBay for them and I'll try to save up some moolah.

I'm using homemades, my Vanquisher, and my Equalizer. I usually do better when I use my homemade, but I don't like to use it that much because of how long it takes to reload.

Syringe blasts can be dodged pretty easily at a distance. Dodging into cover is the easiest but it should also be possible to dodge at a distance. Pressurized blasters have a lot better sustained firepower and you can use tap shots and short sustained shots to keep them back. Homemades are trickier to use due to the lack of a trigger, but should be managable.
