2010 Blaster Sightings

Postby thelaminator on Thu Feb 18, 2010 11:29 am

is there a blaster sightings topic, because iv'e seen a lot of "new"(mostly recolors, but they are still considerd "new", right?)blasters, but have no clue where to post them.
if there is not, there definetely should be. im still seein helix'es around too, for example., yet there is no "product awareness system",like the nerfhaven fourms do. (i like nerf too, but only in the non-soaker season. :D ) so, as stated before, does this topic exist?

Not for all stock water blasters for 2010, but thanks to you, this topic now exists (I edited the title slightly).

Feel free to use this thread to post about all blaster sightings (older models and new ones) that you see during this year (2010). There have been similar threads in the past, but those got archived during the forum reduction last year.

Walmart has generic pump action soakers on cards. Their summer toys aisle is almost done. I'm expecting to see real soakers by the end of the month. It's getting kind of late in the season for new releases.

starting to see shot blasts with odd-shaped scope attachments incuded with them. on the box, it looks as if it acctually has adjustable magnification (which as most longshot owners know, was never used on longshot scopes.) i still don't see the point in having it though.

I saw Max-D 3000s and Helixes :helix: with new Soaker Wars colors at target. I also saw a Soaker Wars Max-D 6000 at toysrus.com

There was also Equalizers, Renegades, Vanquishers, Steady Streams, and pretty much all of the basic Soaker Wars blasters. I didn't see any Vindicators, and I don't recall seeing the Pulse Force. :cps1500:

I saw some water warriors guns at a Giant Food store. :D They were the Pulse Blaster (only $10!) and the Steady Stream (only $5). I bought a few, what a good deal. I always find cool stuff in strange places.

$10 was actually the Pulse Blaster's original price, but the steady stream was an okay deal.

Some dollar stores have Equalizers and Vanquishers for around $10. I didn't pick up anything, though...was looking for CPS.

Unfortunately, I currently lack the time and means to experiment with power mods for the Vindicator. The blaster certainly shows potential for power modding and even if a PC replacement is needed, it could become a very effective blaster for warring with. So with that, it may be worth it for others to look into it. Same goes for the Vanquisher.

This has nothing to do with blasters seen this year, but it was my birthday a few days ago, and I got a Larami Super Charger 500! Works pretty cool, nice stream and power with good shot time, but no QFD with it. :(

But as for blasters near me, I haven't really seen much apart from the generic Soaker Wars stuff in shops near me...doesn't look like there are many Water Warriors blasters here in the UK. However, on the contrary, I've seen TONS of these water guns which look like mini Monster XL's, they seem to be in every supermarket.

I've seen quite a few Bazai knockoffs at my supermarket.

I saw a Water Warriors Hydro Pulse for $5 at my local grocery store, does any one know if that is a good deal, I think it is, maybe?

I might buy it any way, to review and post it since no one has yet.
