Hands-On: Water Warriors Deluge

Postby isoaker on Sun Mar 01, 2009 8:55 pm

The Water Warriors Deluge is the smallest of the Performance line released by Buzz Bee Toys in 2009. Smaller than the Water Warriors Hornet and Cricket, this blaster could be easily concealed and/or carried in a decent-sized pocket. It is, however, a little larger than a Super Soaker XP215. Being a small air-pressure-based blaster, stream power and performance are on the lower side as expected. Nevertheless, the Deluge can make for a decent back-up blaster or primary for mini-skirmishes.

Sweet, looks like something I would keep in my pocket at school in case I happen to sneak up on some friends haha.

Powerful little gun huh? It should have a sting to make up for that drastically low output. I'm not too fond of the colors either, but hey, you can always paint that.

Not sure where you got the "powerful little gun" from. It performs well, but having an output only similar to that of an XP215, it's on the lower side of the power table. I give in an "acceptable power level", though, in practicality, a Hornet or Stingray would be the likely preferred choice amongst the group.

It seems another blaster for prank purposes instead of water wars, at least thats how I put it. Still unsure if I'd prefer the 215 over this since I haven't seen a Deluge yet. However, given its larger capacity, it seems to be somewhat more powerful as well, just 100mL below a Max-D2k. The ball valve would also help in a case like this with the lower flow restrictions. However, given the output level, it still seem to be too weak to use in a war.
Teams, Armory, Local Water Warfare, etc. HydroBrawl Water Warfare.

Oh, I was taking a 70 to be above average (50?), not like a C, barely passing. Looks like I need to look over more of your reviews.

Oh, the rating of 70, IMO, is still accurate. Don't forget there are still a lot of cheap imitation blasters and trigger-based squirt pistols of similar size but with much lower power. I just try to be cautious when using the term powerful. :goofy: In the end, though, objective measurements like output and range are the optimal benchmarks for a blaster's power. Just haven't been able to do range testing yet. :goofy:
