Does anyone know anything on the Vindicator's performance? I would assume that its still similar to the Tiger Shark, Orca, and previous blasters, but you never know. With larger diameter internals around the PC along with a good valve, it could easily outperform any of that old stuff, given BBT really changed and improved their designs.

At the least, its good to see that BBT is still working through this year while Super Soaker slacks off as it usually does. If the trend for the last 2 years continues (from bottle shots and quick blasts to absolutely nothing), I wonder what will become of the SS.

Some of BBT's new guns seem to come just shy of being convinient sidearm size, particuarly the Pulse series.

As for the Blazer, I've heard some reports about it being overrated, not the CPS 1000 it was cracked up to be (the iSc stats got better ranges than the 1000, and was a whole 4m above the 1200... must be some enormous manufacturing variation there), and I wouldn't doubt that its design wasn't much different than the Orca's.

Have you read the iSoaker.com Water Warriors Vindicator review yet?

As for the Blazer, not sure why the stats I got were as they were, but I just report what I measure. :goofy: Methinks either my particular Blazer happened to be extra-well-made or the CPS1000 I tested has a more poorly laminated stream, thus resulting in its lower range measured.

New Blazer? *Celebrates like a startsruck fangirl*
While it doesn't have the performance of a true CPS, the Blazer is a very convenient and useful soaker, and like I've mentioned before, has one of the best pumps I've ever used.
I was an idiot!!! I saw a CPS 4100, CPS 2100 and a Monster XL, yet i decided on an EES Turbine!!!

Specifically, I was asking if the Vindicator's performance on the largest nozzle improved over previous blasters. The performance potential of previous blasters was always being hindered by the small internals, and the posted review doesn't really go into detail about this.

Performance aside, the design changes are fairly interesting. The new guns don't have that fat feel with a lot of dead space anymore and everything has been nicely minimized. And plus, the electric power meter is gone. The pump design seems to be just like the one I suggested. The Vaporizer style grips may not work the best, but they do save space and prevent an awkward top heavy feel that would be if the handle was on the bottom. However, it looks like the space given to the firing hand may not be sufficient for those with larger hands, though thats just from the pictures.

Question about the reservoir design. Does the PC expand directly into the reservoir? This design would theoretically be a good thing since you wouldn't have to top off the reservoir for best efficiency, but you'd probably still have to fill up the internals and dead space and top off.

Edit: Based on the internal pics, there seems to be a slight improvement to the pipe diameter. The fact that its not routing around like in the Orca would also help. Its also good to see the simpler, cleaner design overall. Perhaps BBT was aiming to cut costs, which also resulted in a better design. Plus, the reservoir has the proper intake system that DX was talking about.

I know that there may well be a blazer remake comming out but I found this link of the pirhana, (the blazers cousin) so in my mind I wouldn't be suprised if it came out): http://www.amazon.com/Water-Warriors-Piranha/dp/B00005LDSP on amazon. It said it is currently unavalible like the other guns but I do not know that much about amazon. "Do the products come from stores or do people sell things like ebay" There are reviews already which kind off crushes my hopes of it comming out because I would really want it along with the blazer remake and vindicator.

That Piranha looks like the very first, based on the color scheme, so its likely that its just an old item listing that was never removed. Unless otherwise indicated, I don't think its a likely re-release. The Tiger Shark, IMO, did a better job anyway.

I just realized something. ISoaker, since you have a reveiw for the vindicator, does this mean you have it already? Is this because you have conections or something else. I called my walmart and emailed buzz bee toys and they both seem to say in a month or so these products will purchased by various stores. As mentioned in my thread I am also intreseted in getting more 2008 blasters (hydra pak, orca, krypton) so the anticipation is killing me. I am very excited for this year because as most of you have said, I think buzz bee toys is making a large leap over hasbro. The largest blasters produced by hasbro since 2002 are the hydro blitz, triple agressor, and hydro blade. These all were unconventional and excluding the hydro blitz they used air pressure. The best blaster after 2002 from super soaker in my opinion would be the flash flood although it is prone to break. I think Buzz Bee Toys is on their way to crushing Super Soaker because of their ability to supply us with large conventional shaped blasters, most which use Cps. We recived a good line of blasters last year topped off with one large rifle (Tiger shark) and two Heavy Assult rifles (Orca, Krypton). This year we expect to recive three Heavy Assult Rifles in the Vinicator, Expidition and Pulse Master. I will not be purchasing the Pulse Master this year until my opinion changes on it but I am hoping to collect a large amount of large guns for my armoury. If Buzz Bee produces a soild line of blasters next year I think we will be completly resuplied with well produced, large water blaster and therefore have less of a dependence on 10 year old CPS class blasters. I am sure we can all have nearly as much fun with these Buzz Bee Toys rifles. All we need from them now is a high performance cannon that would either run off of CPS (when the patent expires) or air pressure because I belive hydro power wouldn't be strong enough to power anything larger than the rifles comming out this year and still produce CPS worthy range. Hopefully Buzz Bee Toy's blasters continue to improve and grow in size and Super Soaker is crushed off of the planet and doomed to 50 years of prison beatings untill they agree to take a page off of the technology industry and actually try to make their products better every year. The only edge Hasbro has over Buzz Bee Toys is in Nerf as they produce more reliable and practical blasters than Buzz Bee Toys (Raider with drum mag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I am very excited as I hope to take my water warfare to a larger scale this year by building, buying, modding and having fun.

Thanks,

P.S.
When does the CPS patient expire?
Also I discovered how to improve the quality of the Buzz Bee Toy's plastic. This makes it stronger and gives it a better feel. First you must paint a few layers on it and then add 3 coats of wood varnish, I did this to my modded shark and I am impressed with the results.

As of now, the 10 year old CPS's higher range and output give it an edge over even the best of the WW line. As for HydroPower, I believe its sufficient to perform reasonably well for CPS 1000 sized blasters if the pipe and valve diameter wasn't limiting its performance. For CPS, its advantage is high power in a relatively small package, but if it breaks, its done for. (but that rarely happens) Air pressure is also capable of relatively constant pressure in the low pressure dropoff design mentioned in other posts around here.

I'm not sure how long the patents run, but its been at least 10 years since the patent was first issued. Jjust keep in mind that its not the only option for high end water weaponry.

As for Super Soaker, if you read up on the history, you'll know that the whole thing completely flopped over between 2002-2003 (though the decline in quality may have started earlier) as Larami merged, workers left, etc. In fact, much of the engineers at BBT were formerly with Larami. Nerfwise, Hasbro's marketing strategy has been very successful, though from what I've experienced, BBT has not made as good quality products in that area either.

Hmm, I just saw the Equalizer, Renegade, AB, bottle shot, and a twin pack of 215's at Target today. No Vindicator unfortunately. I should look into getting the 215's though, they're quite useful for off-the-field surprises and pranks. =)

I didn't see the SS50 though, but it seems that thats the only "new" release for this year. Nothing to supplement getting the SS50 to relish the memories, unless they get the new WW's.

A little more info added; will hopefully have pics up of the other, unreviewed, new blasters of 2009 soon.

A note on the Water Warriors Power Shots: I was originally under the impression they were simply remodeled Water Warriors Kwik Grips. I am wrong. The Water Warriors Power Shots, while still trigger-based, have an adjustable setting to change/enhance their performance. Not quite sure how well it works yet, but it's rather interesting. More to come...

Not sure what you wish to know about the redone Blazer. As far as I know, there is no internal or performance difference between the original Blazer and the now renamed Expedition. The Water Warriors Expedition is pretty much the red version of the Blazer, but with a big "Expedition" sticker on its side and, of course, the new Water Warriors logo. Otherwise, it's a Blazer.. oh, but to clarify, it's the "improved" version of the Blazer (i.e. the 2005 version) with a fan nozzle and more distinct nozzle sizes on its nozzle selector.

Apart from pictures, I presently have no intent on doing any further testing on the Water Warriors Expedition at the moment.

Edit: you can see more pictures of the Water Warriors Expedition here. Enjoy!
