I believe my team would be up to a challenge, but I do not know when. In addition, we may or may not be able to travel. We are in oakville, to your west.

I've been to Oakville on numerous occasions. It's about an hour and a half from Toronto, right?

How many people are on your team, and what is the age range?

Reply if you're interested.

Confirmed, are 2. Ages are 16-17 (for all that may be attending).

What rules should we use, and when should it be? It would be more productive to pick them out now rather than waste time on a battlefield :goofy:

There is a park near one of my team members houses, and it is basically half wooded, with paths and an open field. It should be amply large enough. Do you know where Jonathan Park is in Oakville (Yes, i guess it is about 1 1/2 hours to here from downtown Toronto).

EDIT: That reminds me, i need to fix my :cps2000: and my :cps3000: :x

How about we put this thing on hold, for two reasons:

1. You guys out age us by 3-4 years, so we need a bit more time to practice.
2. One of our members is away at his cottage for the rest of the summer.

Maybe early September, how does that sound? I'd love to play at Jonathan Park, it sounds great, but, again, we aren't prepared just yet.

As for game types, I was thinking OHK with 3 lives. How does that sound. Reply if you like the idea. If you do, I'll PM you when we are ready(probably a few weeks).

How about One Hit Scores? That way the game won't end too soon or take too long.
And as long as the weather's still warm, I don't mind waiting.
BTW, I'm the other guy on Croc's team :P

There is now a 25% chance of us being able to go.

I'll PM both of you if we can go, and you can tell us where to meet you, etc. The OHS is a good idea. Hope we can come.

Word of warning, Jonathan Park doesn't have any ready water supplies, so bring lots of bottles. I'll be bringing a 15L bottle or two, and I'm not opposed to sharing one.

If you could bring two of them, we could use one for each base or whatever. Anyhow, we aren't in the greatest readiness either. I've been sitting around most of the summer, and not doing much with water guns, but doing more with the site. We may be doing a bit of practicing too, and the park is fairly familiar to both of us, so be prepared for that. Stealth teachings will do well in an unknown environment.

Do we want shields, or not? I don't mind if we do or don't, but it would be more interesting without them.

I say no shields, the game gets boring with shields.

steelboot - The teams would be even in numbers, if not skill. I personally have not used a water weapon against someone for over a year.

What shall we use as a scoring method? Fist sized splotch? Counting kills/points on the arm with removeable marker?

We'll bring water bottles, if we can come. As for scoring, how about One hit scores? Mr. dude suggested that. I was thinking 3 lives OHK.

As for fairness, 3 on 2 should be fair, considering we are younger than you and have much less experience

I'll PM you both if we can come. It'll be a lot of fun if we can come, but don't get your hopes up.

If you can come, I could send you a map of the battlefield, or post it here. I just made one up quickly, outlining boundaries.

Ok, here is the map (The bolded text is a link):

Map Link (It's too big to post on the forums, so just go there to see it.

If it is possible, this would be a great war. The area is large, and everyone can be spaced out.

Looks great... are there any bases, or great hiding and sniping points?

There are good locations for bases, hiding and sniping. The terrain is mostly level, covered in leaves etc. There is a valley that could be useful.

When we have confirmed whether or not we will be having this war, we can decide where bases and water could be.

EDIT: I didn't post where the sniping spots were in this post because I have not personally been there in a few weeks, and need to scour the land for such locations anyways. I might do it today (Aug 8).

I am going through the park with mr. Dude tomorrow, and we will look for good locations for bases, sniping spots, etc. I will put an updated map up when we have scouted the area.

Hoping you can come,

We took a few pictures of some of the good hiding spots in the park, but unfortunately it's hard to point out exactly where they are on the map, but there are many, many spots that you can hide in. Croc has the pictures, so expect him to post them sometime soon.
As for bases, we found at least four perfect areas, so yes, there are lots. Hope you can make it!
