Hmm, I got to start contributing to these sometime. A write-up about the ASS vs MTU war would've fitted very well, showing advancements to water warfare in different areas. As Adrian stated, "without the older kids, soakerdom dies". The rest of the paragraph, as well as other ones discussing the same subject, ring some truth about the future of the sport.
On the other hand, what's lacking in stock blasters and general public interest is made up for with much better understanding in how these things work, developments with modifications and homemades, and more web capability. I can't really say much here since I've only been here for 2 years and missed a lot of stuff going on in those old days.
Something I should mention, soakerdom's probably the best set of forums I've been around to. Whats often associated and/or stereotyped as an immature war game actually has forums more mature than just about all of the others I've seen. Just about all of the stupid/annoying posts here come from spambots. (here being soakerdom in general; iSc seems to get the least spam) Theres always going to be occasional arguments, but for the most part, its quite peaceful.
Well, thats about it for now, just some random thoughts after reading the report.
