Contest Overview: Write an original soaker review on any stock model soaker made or sold within the past three (3) years (i.e. 2005 - 2008), though preference will be given to models available currently on the market. Contest entries can be any length, though should preferably not be any longer than 5000 words (most reviews on iSoaker.com fall below 1000 words total). Pictures, images, and/or diagrams may also be included with the review so long as you are the copyright owner of the images. No more than 10 images may be included in a contest entry. Only one entry allowed per individual.
All valid submissions will be posted on iSoaker.com in addition to being entered in the contest. By entering this contest, you are giving iSoaker.com the right to freely re-post/re-distribute your review for informational/non-commercial purposes. Acknowledgement of the content creator will appear together with the review and any images included.
For those who have written reviews and had submitted them to iSoaker.com already, they can NOT be used for the purpose of this contest. We want newly written reviews. Reviews on modified or homemade water blasters also do not qualify for the purpose of this contest.
Deadline: Entries must be received by 23:59:59 EST July 1, 2008 as date-stamped received by the iSoaker.com Email Server.
Contest Validity: There must be at least five (5) different, valid entries for this contest to proceed. In the event that five (5) valid entries are not available, the date may be extended or options discussed on the forums.
Grand Prize: (1) Water Warriors Orca (2008) water blaster
Runner-Up Prize: (1) Water Warriors Jet water blaster
Note on prizes: The prize and initial shipping cost will be paid for by iSoaker.com. However, iSoaker.com will not cover any additional import duties or taxes due to inability to forecast and/or control them. Prizes will be shipped as 'gifts' and it is unlikely that any import or duty fees would be required. However, as different countries/regions have different regulations, this limitation is being noted to potential winners ahead of time.

You can also use the iSoaker.com Online Review Submission form, but be sure to note in the review text area that the review is to be considered for this 2008 iSoaker.com Review Contest.File Types: For the review, the text files should be in either MS Word (.doc), Rich Text Format (.rtf), or plain ASCII text (.txt). Text file size should be less that 500kb. Graphics/images should be in one of the following formats: .jpg, .gif, .tif, .png, .bmp. Image file sizes should be less than 750kb per file.
Eligibility: Contest is open to all members of the iSoaker.net (must be 13 years or older), assuming they also reside in a country I am legally allowed to ship water blasters to. Those under the age of majority must have parental permission to enter as contest winners will be asked for shipping addresses. (Note: ONLY contest winners will be asked by me for shipping addresses. If any other member is being asked for their address who had not won, it is NOT by me.
Judging Process: Once the entry deadline has passed, accepted entries will be judged and 10 (at most) will be selected to compete for the grand prize. Once the top 10 (or less) submitted reviews have been selected, a poll will be created on iSoaker.net to allow the membership to vote on their favourite review. Polling will be open for ~1 week. The review with the most votes will be declared winner. In the event of a tie, a second tie-breaker poll will be created and membership will vote again to decide on their favourite review. The review with the most votes will be declared winner. In the event of a second tie, a coin-toss will be used to decide the final outcome.
