Postby isoaker on Thu Apr 21, 2005 11:24 am

New to the forums? Introduce yourself!

Some things to potentially post on: What's your favourite soaker? General location (No specific addresses, please. At most town/city and/or country)? Other hobbies? Estimated level of soaking experience? What you want to improve and/or what you hope to share with the rest of the community?

Well, figure after adjusting the title of this thread, I'll be the first to push up an entry.

Just wanted to give props to all the members here at the iSoaker.com Forums. It's you guys that make this place really great! I just provide the access point. :goofy:

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Other Hobbies: Webdesign, Anime & Manga
Soaking Experience: decent water warfare experience, but highly knowledgable and experienced when it comes to water blaster behaviour and water behaviour in general

My goal with iSoaker.com has always been to promote good, safe, fun, and awesome water warfare for people of all ages. To me, there's nothing quite as satisfying as laying down a drenching stream on an unsuspecting opponent during a match.

Interests:Water warfare, music, writing, guns, the freedom movement, movies, tv shows - not necessarily in that order.
Soaking experience:Probably not as experienced as some would think, and definitely not as experienced as many others here. I have hosted 5 wars though, and I'd like to think I'm good at watercombat theory.

Ok, here I go.

Name: Wild Boys
Age: 14 (nearly 15)
Gender: Male
Location: United Kingdom, England, South Yorkshire.
Other hobbies/interests: Duran Duran, collecting rare old Lego still new from late 80's to late 90's, having fun, playing Snooker/Pool.
Soaker experience: Ok, can dodge some shots, quite accurate, tactical and stealthy. Got my act together for good soakers in early 2004.

Goals in soaking: To enjoy myself as well as giving all my traitors and enemies a good kicking up the backside. Also to become a more experienced and tougher soaker warrior. To help other people.

Goals in life: To get my ultimate want which goes hidden and only kept in myself. To be a nice person and successful. Gaining trust and new friends. To create the next great Super Soaker website.

Name: A-800

Location: Canada

Age: 24

Gender: Male(not many females in water battles- somewhat like StarTrek, Starwars and Lord of The Rings)

Watergun experience: Had a watergun since early 80s. Retired now from battles. Mainly selling stuff on ebay.

Goals: Sell a MXL and CPS 3200 for 2-3 times as high as other ebay sellers like last year to pay for fees.
Image
Classical Spirit: Constantly improve power, pressure and style over previous state of the art water gun models. The ideal of "power progress", a nowdays non existent concept in retail water guns since 1997.

Real name: Dan
asl: 19, male, Gettysburg and Millersville (University), PA.
I'm a little on the new side to a lot of different things. I've never had the internet at my house, I've only had constant personal access to it since I got to college this year (freshman year). This is the first website where I've posted on forums. Just getting the hang of surfing the internet, learning the lingo (I know as much as most people), using different things online, etc. Have been active on iSoaker.com for about a month and a half, now. I like it here, I just want to learn things, and help other people learn things and share what knowledge I have to offer about water blasters, water warfare, and the like. Don't have too many blasters, but I'm trying to obtain some more and better ones. You can see in my signature what I have so far. I'm not a veteran soaker, and I'm not an expert in tactics, but I like to think I know a thing or two. I'm not a real die-hard, but I do thoroughly enjoy the activity itself. :)

Location:San Jose, California, the United States of America
Other Hobbies:Programing, Thinking, Video and Computer Games, Art, Internet, and TV (and wondering how I forgot about my large cps and xp collection, which the location of which is unknown)
Soakage Experience: Unsure, I have recently had flashbacks of a large cache of cpses and xps that were lost when I moved from New Mexico to California and then I forget about them. With such a bad memory, I can not be sure of my soakage experience, but I think that I have a lot due to my incredible skill at water fighting. (Once I was fighting a person armed with a CPS 2100, and I had a devastator. I made him run for cover :bm1000: )

Might as well...
Age: 17
Location: Northern NJ (will be changing to Hoboken, NJ as of this fall)
Interests: Halo, Tolkien, Douglas Adams, RvB, Lego, Star Wars, gaming, Macs, volleyball
Soaking history: My friends and I used to play a lot when we were younger, and I joined the MiB Alliance Yahoo! Group back in 1997 or so. Since then, they've all grown out of it, as have I, but I've just stayed along for the ride...

Name: Benjamin Hemingway
Age:18
Gender:Male
Location:North Carolina, USA
Interests: My darling girlfriend, watergun fights, paintball, website design, my band, skateboarding, hiking and exploring
Soaking experience: Well I've been playing with soakers as long as I can remember. My first gun was an SS 200 but I was way too small for it. I started looking up watergun sites in Spring 1999 before the first Vermin War. I wanted to join MIB but wasn't computer savvy enough to understand how to make a yahoo ID. The next year I started talking on IM to Budgie (the webmaster of Aquazone) and TAKrogoth and they showed me how to get a yahoo ID and I joined Aquatica. I've been in over 10 large scale water wars and countless battles, skirmishes, and night fights. I know a whole bunch about the guns, probably not as much as Isoaker but a good bit. I know a good bit about modding, as I was one of the first modders out there, but I'm not as diehard about it as some people. I just mainly know how to fight, and that's what my site focusses on.
Goals: Uh, to run my website and have lots of good battles.

Alias: Duxburian [it's an adj., not a noun, so the commonly used abbreviation "dux" sounds akward to me]
Name: Rob [never reveal your full name on the internet]
Age: 16
Gender: male
Location: Ridgewood, NJ, USA
Interests: Biking, sailing, computer games, video games, winter and spring track, water wars, hiking in the woods, TV production, card games, building card houses [my record is 17 floors, beat that], swimming, arguing about politics, and a lot of other stuff.
Soaking Experience: Started soaking in the summer of 1997 using only water balloons. Didn't use water guns, though, until around 2000 or 2002. I discovered online soakerdom in fall 2003 and joined an organized team, later splitting off with Nibordude to form a new one. I've fought in quite a few wars, many skirmishes, and am a hardcore modder. I've helped pioneer 2100 mods and information, and my tactics aren't too shabby as proved in the recent battle. Swept all 5 scenarios against Waterbridge. :p Good times ahead!
Goals: Make a 21K shoot over 70ft this year, continue work on SM, and break 12 in the 100m.

Real name: Nick
Sex: Male
Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
Other Hobbies: Window shopping at video games and soakers, to see price comparison. Listening to music, preferably Linkin Park. Making my own videogames. And of course, Message Boards.
Expierience in soaking: My expierience in soaking is low in fact I havent had a water fight bigger than 5 people yet. So soaking expierience is minimal.

But I have my expierience in watching military movies. So Im a tactical advisor and very stealthy. Except im fat... lol.

Favorite soaker: Don't really have one, I have a balzer and vaporizer... so I'd say its my Blazer :blazer: But im getting a flash flood and a liquidator this year.
People come dressed in all clothes to my games... but when they are done the come out wearing a towel with their clothes soaked.

The motto of the story... If your not on on my team and your staring at the nozzle on my gun.... your probably already soaked.

I live in the poconos PA, I have been soaking sence my dad got me a cps2000 when I was like 7 or 8 (I'm 14 now) It was new, and it was on clearence. I shot one of my friends and he fell down, I had to take it back 3 days later, I ended up getting a n64 game instead. I really missed it! then I saw that the splashzooka needed no pumping and got that. I was looking around here for the reviews and stuff last year, and not I noticed the forums and joined
