Forget and forgive all the bad crap I did in the past, this is the new me on a fresh start boosted with my new site.

Anyway, I'm starting to get back into soaking and came up with a way of improving the Flash Flood and did something creative for once.

Nice, simple mod! Nice pics, too! Can you give an estimate on how much it affected range of the blast (assuming you either remember of have an unmodder Flash Flood to compare it with).

Nice mods, and nice site! Try to get it linked to from iSoaker.com, SSC, and WWc.

Consider doing a nozzle selector mod since you have the CPVC already on. Check out the article at SSC if you're unsure of how to go about it.

Thanks for the appraisal, both of you.

Now I'll answer some questions and say what's happening next.

I'm afraid I didn't get stock stats iSoaker sorry, however don't fret, soon I'll be receiving that chrome Flash Flood so when that comes and I get time (after the heat of upcoming exams dies down), I'll take stock stats and also compare with stats of how this Flash Flood is now.

Once I get the stats done, and also more of the Flash Flood in performance as it is now (videos coming soon), I'll move on to the next upgrade of a nozzle selector mod like you mentioned, Silence. I've got a fair idea of how to go about doing it, there is a way that I hopefully might be able to do it if the tools I have are right, which if it is allows me to buy nozzle endcaps from a UK based place easily.

I'll update as I progress and keep you informed, this Flash Flood by the end should be a lot different from before, as I'll probably even enhance its power and open it up sometime and probably colossus it and do a few other internal modification, taking pictures and doing a clear step by step guide.

Here is how I've recently done a nozzle selector to my flashflood:

There was no 3/4 PVC endcaps at my local hardware store so I managed to do the mod with 1/2 endcaps using a 3/4 PVC sleeve(not sure how to name this) with threaded female ends and a plastic 3/4 to 1/2 male threaded part. Of course I'm not promoting the parts I've used for the mod, but I just want to show the amazing stream lamination I got from it.

With a bit of creativity, as always, I recreated a nozzle similar to the one on the CPS 2000 (thanks to Wayne's CPS 2000 web page) using a screen from an old sink, a plastic tube with the same diameter as the Flood's nozzle and simple drinking straws. I didn't removed the original FF screen and it fits all in there without any glue. (used electrical tape to screw the whole part on the gun, as described on SSC) Results? Solid laminated streams, as well as range boost on some nozzle sizes. Even the riot blast is now a stream! (lost some range though)

After some working things out and hoping, my idea is looking good to work. My idea was getting a longer piece of CPVC piping (which I have now found out the size to be 1/2") and using my Dad's piping threader kit if it had a piping threader the right size, which thankfully, it did, so all I need to buy now are some 1/2" end caps to screw on, and I've managed to locate a UK place that does them. This way hopefully I can blast out interchangeable streams as well as when taken off it won't harm the range of the blast nozzle of how it looks now without any thread on.

To give you a better idea on what I have just said, here's a picture which should clear things up.

When my PhotoBucket account stops playing up, I'll get the videos of how the first stage of this modification performs (how it is now basically in the article).

Then, more articles and improvements will be as follows when I get time and get all the statistic comparing done.

Most of this yes has been done before, I'll just be putting my take on it, it'll take a while, although I aim to get it done. I'll keep updating.

Update 19/05/07: I have no time to continue further, and I personally feel the Flash Flood is fine as it is with or without the piece on, so this is where I pretty much leave it, sorry. I don't really intend to use the Flash Flood either as I just can't help but prefer my old CPS line guns to use and keep, so expect my Flash Floods to be up selling on eBay soon along with other rare guns I will be selling this year.

I've never consider if someone else has written or posted something similar before as a reason not to provide one's own take on it. Different people just have different ways of presenting materials and others may benefit from the way you happen to present what others have talked about in the past! So long as one isn't just copying verbatim what was there before, revisiting old topics is not necessarily a bad thing.

Looking forward to seeing your site develop! Good job so far!
