cps 2500 help - shoots while pumping

For water gun / water blaster repair questions and repair guides as well as soaker maintenance ideas.

Postby LIGHT ANNIHILATOR on Fri Feb 17, 2006 11:19 pm

I got my 2500 and it shoots while pumping (no surprise there). I opend up the gun and messed with the trigger valve and I still shot while pumping. I have opend the trigger valve and need further instruction, I'll check ssc for some help guides, but additional help would be helpful. I won't be able to post pics, but after seeing the inside of the valve you guys probably wouldn't need them.

I take it you've made sure that the rubber disk is sitting properly on the outlet hole? I remember my 1500 had the same problem not so long ago, and it turns out there was a small splint of wood holding the rubber disk open! Good luck fixing it, anyway.

Rubber band repair. That's gotta be one of the easiest repairs, and I'm suprised you've never had to use it.

If you've already tried this, sorry for making the assumption that you hadn't :;):

Try holding the pin down while blowing through where the pc goes on, I tend to do that to test and see if it is clogged with something that holds it open. Another thing to try is just using a bigger rubberband, or adding on a few, sometimes one just doen't do the trick.

That, and maybe there is something jammed inside it. Try blasting the inernals with a hose.

@zack13: while your post suggestion is alright, please check the last post date before replying next time on these type of threads. The last post was over a month ago and chances are L.A. has solved things one way or another by now (or he would have posted again).

Sometimes just wrapping the rubber band around itself once or twice works just fine. I did that with my Max-D 5000. It works, trust me.
