Oooo! Nice! A little too busy for a wallpaper, IMO, but cool nevertheless!

Alright, now you've pissed me off to a good extent. Let me tell you something about that image. yes, I created it from that. I colored it, made it look better, and incorperated it into new art. That was an indirect attack at me, and it was not appreciated. Your doing it to be an arse, and I and everone else knows it. I know what you have been doing the past months to harass at me, and I don't like it one bit. You had just better hope you don't meet me in person.

edit- Requesting this topic to be closed to prevent your smart-butt mouth from running. Ill help out and close this discusiion so you dont have to.

Hold on-

I dare you to name one other instance where I was being an "arse."

Also, why can't a post something? You expect me to just sit back and pretend like I didn't see anything?
It's not like you're a bad guy. It's just that you shouldn't be taking credit for someone else's work. I think we've all plagerized one way or another at one point or another, it's just some of us get caught and some don't.

Ok... the 'Arbiter' is here...err... been playing Halo2 recently. :goofy:

Anyhow, first off, using an image isn't plagiarism since, well, plagiarism is over something written or an idea, not an image (from Dictionary.com - plagiarism: n 1: a piece of writing that has been copied from someone else and is presented as being your own work 2: the act of plagiarizing; taking someone's words or ideas as if they were your own).

Ok, enough nitpicking :goofy: on wording since I do understand what was being said, here. Somehow, I don't think the trees in the background is an image Iceman took, either. However, what he did do was create a composite image as well as adjusting original images to his liking. While parts come from other sources, the end product is still a unique creation. It would be good if he were to acknowledge where original image sources came from, but I don't consider his use of the images analogous him trying to pass off that he created every aspect of the end-product.

That said, Iceman's reaction to Soakologist's post was too harsh. While likely feeling personally insulted, firing it back only fuels the flames. Soakologist's link post, however, is borderline trolling since its purpose was not clear. If Soakologist was simply asking whether Iceman got part of his image from another source, that's one thing. However, just pushing up a sentence stating "Look what I found" with a link was just done in poor taste. That said, I don't want to lay too much blame on either side since I don't want to read too much into actions. Guys, let's try to be a little more kind to each other instead of looking for ways to drag another down.

That said, both Iceman and Soakologist should take an extra moment before pushing up their next post and chill a touch. Thanks!
