Okay , so , I just recently did a mod to my XP-270s , where I drilled their nozzles. I won't mention what size drill bit i used , but i get 250ml/s output.... (precisely 253.7ml/s) (I calculated) And a range of about 20 feet , to the last puddle , for more details , contact me or ask for details on this board.

Don't mean to be redundant, but i completely second isoaker. I'm quite interested as i have an xp-270 sitting around, and i also have a drill and some bits sitting around...
how hard was it?

What really interests me is how you managed to get 250mL/s out of a soaker with a 200mL firing chamber (according to the stats here on isoaker).

There's less than one second of shot time. If there had been more capacity, then in one second, you could have displaced 250 mL. As it is, the shot time is only 200/250 = .8 seconds.

Still, effectively that means you're still getting only 200mLs out of the soaker at any given second, and with this mod there is still no way to cause 250mLs to leave the barrel in one second (unless your pump arm is like lightning). I understand the math behind what you are saying, but then what should be stated is:
a) it effectively gets 200mL/s; b) it shoots 200mLs in .8 seconds; or c) it could shoot 250mL/s if the shot-time lasted for a whole second.

As the shot-time was not stated, it is somewhat misleading, and in battle, effectively false.

There actually are two different types of water output. Instantaneous output and interval output. You people are using one second interval output. What truly determines water gun performance is instantaneous output due to the math (the output is the derivative of the water capacity). So it is not incorrect to state that there is a water output of 250 mL/s. However, over the entire interval of one second there is only 200 mL leaving the water, so it's pretty much as good as 200 mL/s. With that being said, the water gun probably would get 250 mL/s interval output if the PC capacity was 250 mL.

Good points. But the actual capacity is irrelevant when it comes to output. While output here is measured in seconds and the units are for seconds, instantaneous output is what you'll see.

Just because .8 isn't a whole number doesn't mean it's not a valid figure. You're not going to be shooting for exactly one second at a time. More output just means that you'll displace more output for whatever period of time you're firing.

Is a water gun with a 5L tank and 100 mL/s output more powerful than a water gun with a 200 mL tank and 250 mL/s output? No. While the water lasts, the second gun will displace more water.

ml/s is a ratio, it makes no difference what the actual shot time is, it is the rate of water put out over time. the fact that there isn't a shot time of over a second makes no difference. simple.
