Performance Overview.
Performance of the Max-D
6000 is very similar to the now-discontinued XP 310, the range and output
is similar, but shot times are reduced due to the smaller pressure tank.
However, the smaller pressure tank isn't overly bad, as it wildly increases
the shots per tank the gun is capable of... whoa. 7!
However, with these reduced
shot times, you'll certainly find yourself making nozzle switches more
frequently than with the XP 310, as it's the only way to increase your
shot times to a more desirable level.
Structural Overview.
Firstly, I hate the nozzle
placement - why the bottom? If your hand's on the pump in the wrong spot
(IE: the top) you'll end up soaking yourself. Other than that, the structure
of the gun is overly better. Construction is better than the 310, featuring
a sturdier shell, and much better feeling pump on it, although the weird
design of the plunger-type pump will never be the sturdiest... and breakage
reports on the web aren't uncommon. The 6000 also makes the typical KLIC-KLAK
noise when pulling the trigger, due to the new Max-D trigger system. My
favorite thing of this gun, however, has to be the pumping. With 9 pumps
for a full charge, you'll be back in battle in no time. The 6000 also makes
excellent use of it's water supply.
Basic Overview.
With the discontinuation
of the XP line, a big hole was left behind. The role of the Large Air blaster,
which was a line dotted by some of the greatest Soakers ever, the SS 100,
XP 150, XP 105, XP 110 and even the XP 310, needed to be filled, and the
6000 is just the gun to fill it. In general, she's pretty well identical
to the XP 310, only with a smaller Pressure tank capacity and a stronger
shell. A worthy successor and a must have to any arsenal. This gun is recommended.
