Performance Overview
It looks like Larami has proved us wrong when we say that gun performance has dropped off considerably over recent years. This, along with the Max-D's, boasts some of the best Range and output I've seen. Output is phenominal, but the range is just a hair under that of the archived CPS 1000 and identical to the CPS 1200  However, having this kind of power comes at a price, she doesn't last very long. With 3.5 shots/tank and 2.5sec of shot time, with this gun you'll find yourself making fairly frequent trips to the Hose for more Juice. That aside, check out that output! A 5x blast of 8.5oz/sec? That's the same as the CPS 2500, the Second most powerful Soaker ever made!

Structural Overview
A very strong, sturdy gun, I can see this thing going far... off a flight of steps and surviving anyway... This thing has some good parts and bad parts, while the thing boasts the characteristics of Monster toughness, this "Micro-Monster" has a Monster shaped tank which can hold you back from getting a good fill at a sink or any other place that doesn't allow for much fill-up space. The Tracked Pump on a gun this size is a nice touch, by doing this it makes the gun even less breakable by a fall... However, It also boasts that nasty "ka-chuk ka-chuk" pumping problem that the 1500/1700 made famous... And where the heck's the strap? Granted, I never used the strap on a CPS 1000 and CPS 1200, but what about the Smaller soaker fans? The CPS 2100 is fairly light to me, but to some it might be nowhere near manageable. Plus it makes it harder to use for a Sidearm... Still, I don't think anyone will have much problems with anything other than breaking cosmetic pieces off when dropping it all the time.

Basic Overview
What more can I say, this gun needs work, but I still really like it. I think that Hasbro/Larami did a good job on this soaker, but left some rather obvious areas untouched. It's a good sign that the glory days of CPS power are back with this gun, but also keep in mind that this gun also only has a 5x Nozzle. I doubt very mich we'll ever see a 20x Nozzle again. That aside, it's rather obvious that Larami was thinking "Monster" with this gun, take a look at the front of the pump - doesn't it look like a Super Charger plug should be there? That in mind, she's built a heck of alot sturdier than the 2001 Monster/CPS 4100... And while being a tad smaller than it's CPS 1000/1200 Brethren, it still can keep pace... I think this gun is the best gun of the whole 2002 Lineup.
