The Benchmark

Performance Overview
Same solid performance as it's predecessor CPS 1000. The Range of the weapon is just as good or even better than what the 1000 can luster, and the Shots per Tank and Shot times are both higher. The Blast never failed to deliver a solid stream at its standard distance. The Pump seemed a little more difficult to move than on other Super Soakers, but that could be caused by the gun not being broken in yet.

Structural Overview
Weight wise, it feels exactly the same as the CPS 1000. As for comfort in using it, the handle is more rounded and easier to hold on to. Provides the same no hassle use that the 1000 provides, with the exception of one Area... Filling.  At a sink tap, this thing is a Pain to fill due to its angled Fill Cap that Larami "says" makes it easier to fill.  In some cases yes, this gun won't have to be held horizontally to fill, but at most sinks, the length of this gun will restrict the neccesary angle required to fill it (hitting the bottom or edge of the sink) and not allow water to have a clean path into the gun... Another con would be the Cheesey colouring, but that can be overlooked/painted over.

Basic Overview
There are some improvements on this gun over the 1000 that makes it deserving of the number 1200. The Differences aren't too big, infact, I wouldn't parade around or rub it into peoples faces about the differences, but they can be helpful... The CPS 1200 provides that little bit of extra Juice the 1000 User has been looking for - The 1200 is an even better improvement on the already best all around Super Soaker, the CPS 1000.
There isn't really any advantage over owning a CPS 1200 instead of a CPS 1000. The 1000 is still easier to fill... The 1200 has a litlle bit of extra "Oomph".. If you own a CPS 1000 and are wondering if you should upgrade to a CPS 1200, I wouldn't. If you have the option of either buying the CPS 1000 or the CPS 1200, get the 1200. Both will serve you just as well.
