Where have I been lately? well, lots of different places. Last July (7-04-2002) I stated that I had Graduated at the top of my Class at computer school... After that, was followed by a Summer job term at the same Community College that saw me flunk out twice. That job was sort of ironic to me, working for them... I left that job early actually, because I found a real job at a local computer store (CompuSmart)... That job was going great, and was what I was busy at pretty much constantly at the time when Aquatica crashed and burned to the ground... but like everything in life, all good things have to end. CompuSmart's managers in New Brunswick decided to close up our Saint John location in November 2002. That left me out of a job.... for about a week. I landed a temporary Sales job at Future Shop for a month, but that concluded nearly a month ago... Lately I've been drifting through time and space (not to mention spending endless hours on my new Platinum GameCube, Metroid Prime is an awesome game!). Now, with some creative energy's stored up... perhaps a little too much free time... I'm back with at least a Miniscule update.
Well... now to recap a little of what happened over the last few months on the soaker front. I'm not 100% sure... but for a brief time in October, a sudden announcement from iSoaker.com saying he was pulling the plug on Aquatica urged me to make a return and salvage it from being deleted, for the sake of those still enjoying the Forum... Being busy, I left, and threw control of the group to the most promenent members of Aquatica's Modifcation's crowd, the webmasters of Guts and Glory and Hydrowar. That was the last I saw of it all until December. Now, the old Aquatica seems like a dead figure propped up by the last few who refuse to let it die. No matter, I care not to get into this whole deal.
For the time being, Aquatica fading to the lime-light, for whenever I do venture out onto the web from my snowed in basement, I jump over to a place that I think captures the real essence of what a Soaker club should be. After iSoaker.com pulled out of Aquatica, efforts were put into a place outside of Aquatica to capture the real friendly club feel. That place became WaterWar.Net. I'm keen on the idea because it still feels young, in it's prime like Aquatica was in late 1999 and in 2000, a nice place to post without having to worry about on or off topic arguments. At any rate, I have no stable loyalties in this day in age, but if you need me, WaterWar.Net is where I'll probably be. (Sounds almost like I was paid/brainwashed to say that, believe me, I was not. :P )
Anyway, keep up hopes that I may be around more often, they just might come true. :)
