A little explanation...
I mentioned yesterday at the bottom of the NewsWire post that the item mentioned was found on the Aquatica EZBoard. Some of you may be saying "What's Aquatica?" or "What's EZ Board?"... And the rest might be wondering "What happened to the Aquatica Yahoo Club?". Well... It's simple, and a little bit of a sob story.

Aquatica has been an online organization for the ways of Soaker Information since Autumn 1999. Originally founded by Aquatechnology (now known as iSoaker.com) and The Aqua-Nexus, the new system brought forth a brand new Webring, Newsletter, and Chat Forum, all unified under one roof - so any soaker could find everything soaker online. That club, which eventually outpowered the famous MiB Alliance club by means of Popularity in Summer 2000, was the Aquatica Yahoo Club...  The net prospered, Soakers online grew.

During that time the evils of advertisement and gluttony have been brewing. Dot.Com business facing hard times turned to taking desperate measures... Finally, as with many companies in the US after the events of Sept. 11th, Yahoo was one of them.  Last Fall it was announced that Yahoo Clubs would be Merging with the strange and often despised Yahoo Group system, clubs would cease to exist. At that point, the Aquatica Club had soared solidly to over 260 Members from all over the world, by far the largest gathering of Soaker Fanatics online.

Then... the darkness came. At the start of March, Aquatica Yahoo Club had been converted to the Aquatica2 Yahoo Group. With an awful layout and a slow server, and with advertizements for stupid things like micro-sized "X10" security cameras "Spy on your Friends! It's fun!"... The Glory days of Yahoo as a good place for a soaker forum came to an end, and, even though the Aquatica2 Yahoo Group still exists, without means of upgrading to remove the Advertisements or to a faster server, we've been - by popular demand - forced to move on.

Enter EZ Board.
Used by other online communities, this service - discovered by the Soaker Crowd by ShadowStrikePrime of AquaFire - offers easy to use posting and fast servers for messages.. So under the direction of iSoaker.com (and of course My approval as well as that of TechSoaker's TAKrogoth, the other Aquatica Co-Founder), Aquatica's chat forum has been moved to EZ Boards, at least until Aquatica can find a Private server all our own.

So, you can now find the Aquatica Club at...

Yay!

Have a nice visit to the Aqua-Nexus!

Welcome back to the Aqua-Nexus in 2002!
Here's to show that the Aqua-Nexus is back and ready for more action in the 2002 Season... Complete with this new Aqua-Nexus update (v4.0 for those who go by version numbers...) is a little less weight in some sections and an update to the Soaker Review section for the 2002 Blasters... while not totally complete, the SSR section will be updated more often over the coming weeks and will hopefully be populated will all new reviews and benchmarks of the 2002 Blasters by the end of May-Mid June.

In the meantime, we're open for the season, so stay tuned for more Aqua-Nexus updates!

Happy 3rd Birthday Aqua-Nexus!
Have I been slacking off or what? Well...  April Fools Day! Nexus update released! Fools...

Well, a small update has anyway, links page redone, News section reworked.  Hopefully soon an overhaul of the Blaster Archives can be put forward and the new 2002 Soakers can be seen here...

The 2002 SuperSoaker.com site was posted nearly a month ago now, with a very stylish look and a retro colour scheme dating back to the Classic SuperSoaker.com v1.0 look, which served the Net until 1999. But more importantly, the new 2002 Super Soakers have been released!

New Soaker Newscast:
While I don't yet have many pictures I can at least give a few details for this years Soaker-stock...  While the lineup this year is generally smaller than the previous years I have to say that these new blasters have to be some of the sturdiest guns ever built, more solid than even the 1994-95 XPs. Looks like Monster Toughness has been passed down the line. :)

Max-D. The name says power, really, it is. These guns are on the level of the XP, but the transition to them is much like that of Classic to XP. These things have massive nozzles, the pistols have power for goodness sake.
The initial lineup of Max-D's range from 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000.
6000 is a super-solid build of the XP310, basically the same thing with thick plastic and in Black-Yellow.
5000 looks a little iffy as it is only a single-tank compression system based gun (the ball is only decoration), but who really knows it's power until testing one one out, who knows, it may just offer more shot time than the disasterously short spurts of the XP70 and XP270, which would be an improvement on Larami's hottest selling gun catagory.
4000, 3000, and 2000 on the other hand, power pistols. I have acquired a 3000 so far (for review later this month or May), and the thing is simply amazing. The power is impressive, although if the noisy "CLICK" of the trigger when firing doesn't give away your position, nothing will. Where did the 3000 come from anyway? It's always been 20 or 40 in recent years... Now it seems like we have more small guns to choose from.
All things considered, I really like what they've done with the Max-D Line.

XP. What? I just got finished explaining the XP's successor in all it's glory and now I'm talking about more XP's?  No... no new XPs.... just the return of some pistol favorites, now available this year in special 2-Packs.

XP220, XP240, and even XP20 (this isn't a typo, yes, the 1998 XP20) are making a comeback. I wouldn't be surprised if they were modified from their original too...

CPS. Ahh, yes, what everybody's looking forward to. Well, me anyway. Nothing toooo too special this year.

The 2001 Monster makes a comeback this year with the new CPSs as CPS4100... Basically the same gun with new colours and no SuperCharge. (Darn)

CPS 1-3-5 also makes a comeback, As well as the CPS SplashZooka 65oz. Both are unaltered from 2001.

This years only real new CPS is one that has taken me by surprise. While being strapless and physically smaller than the CPS1200 and CPS1000, the better use of the frame for a reservoir, thick plastic and tracked pump make it one of the strongest CPSs I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. (if you can't tell, I've acquired one of these too.) And with the better use of the frame for reservoir, the gun is very narrow and easily manuverable, while still carting around about as much of the wet stuff as it's predecessors. It is very powerful with exceptional range, and light to carry.  Feels like a Max-D with a CPS nozzle. Quite a gun. More on that one later this spring.

Monster. Well, same thing as the last 2 years pretty much, Monster X and Monster XL. Although I don't have a picture of it, apparently Monster X has a new look, Green with an Orange barrel. More on that when I can get some info.

Well... that seems to be about it...  Hopefully you'll be seeing more from the Nexus before the Months over, it's long overdue. ;)
