MiB
Alliance, after coming back from it's shut down in July

Webring - Welcome Back!
New from the Nex
Tech Center's Repair
Center is now open... after gathering dust for almsot a year I decided
to simplly just post what I had. The Painting section has been removed
until I have some info to put up...
Also, CWSL Fight Club has
been revamped and renamed the "Official Canada-World Soaker League Website".
The purpose is the same, to document the happenings of the CWSL, but the
pitch is different - CWSL is now a Legion of the Aquatica Elite. Any persons
interested in joining the CWSL not from the Saint John, New Brunswick,
Canada area are requested to join Aquatica Elite.
Also note, yesterday was the 2nd Aniversary of this place taking the name "Aqua-Nexus"

for the Nexus Newswire as of yet.)

Monster X Special
Detailed Benchmark posted! Enjoy!
Also, the design for the Detailed Benchmarking system has been modified... All data is the same, but the layout is different. Statistics tables have been condensed while other items have been added to accomodate the New for 2001 Aqua-Nexus Rating system. One rating chart has been added for Raw Data Merit, while a Personal Rating number converys exactly what I thought of said gun in contrast to other guns.
The Benchmarks for already reviewed 2000-2001 Soakers have also been updated (XP 220, CPS 1200, CPS 3200, Monster XL), while Benchmarks for Blasters on the Discontinued section - the Blaster Archives, have been left alone. (Note: as reviews for discontinued guns are added to the blaster archives, they will include newer style benchmarks. It is undecided as of yet if benchmarks for discontinued CPSs available to the Nexus will be restyled to accomodate the New Benchmark look).
The New Layout looks like this...
The Benchmark
|
Weapon Class: XP or CPS (w/-SC)/Relative Size Grade
|
Performance Overview
Data conserning the performance
and ability of said gun.
Structural Overview
Data conserning the structural
design and integrity of said gun.
Basic Overview
What I thought of said gun,
interesting thoughts and findings.
Personal Rating: 1.0
- 5.0
As for the Ratings System, the Final stage of the system implementation should be when the Fuzz Factor is ready for launch. The two ratings from the Detailed Benchmark, Raw Data and my Personal rating, are to be added to the rating of said gun by the Fuzz Factor, and the total rating of the gun will be the result. It should look something like this.
|
Raw Data
Personal Fuzz Factor |
- - |
4.2
4.5 4.5 |
|
Overall
|
|
4.4 |
When completed, this overall rating, and a summary of both the benchmark and the Fuzz Factor can be found on the individual guns main page.
As I see it, it's quite an improvement over the previous design... and I hope it continues to be so in the future as the Aqua-Nexus proceeds on it's course to who knows where...
Anyway, that seems to be everything for now... Hopefully the next Detailed Benchmark to pop up will be for a CPS grade weapon, although I have recently obtained a Friends XP 240. Who knows... :P
-=Take NO Prisoners!!=-
As for the Nexus, I've done some updating... Added Links on the Links page for Aquafire, Guts'n'Glory Water Warfare, WaterBattles.com, and Hydrolysis...
Also, Sign the New Guestbook!
I'd also like to note that, last weekend, CWSLer "The Fuzz" and I got together and put the starts on his new special review section of the Nexus, "The Fuzz Factor"!... Also, another CWSLer, Blackwolf, has said that he will also write some reviews up for the Nexus, and is in the process of doing so at the current time...
Also, the Measurments for the Detailed Benchmarks of the 215, 270, 310 and Triple Play have been completed offline... Hopefully the Detailed Benchmarks will be posted by the Weekend...
More to come! :)
And now 2 years later, the Nexus Newswire - through thick and thin - has survived...
As the Season is just starting here, Nexus is kicking into Full Gear. And with that, I've created a new list of sites to Cycle for the Newswire...
So lets see what's new today!

Reviews of the XP 85, XP
90 guns have been added... Go to AquaFire

New at the Nex?
Not Much... Well, got a
Few New Soakers but nothing I haven't already reviewed... Got another CPS
2500 and picked up an MDS, as well as some rare MiniXPs (105, 175, 275),
but nothing new to review... But don't worry, I've still got the XP 215,
270 and 310, as well as Fuzz's new Triple Play, to review - over the course
of the next week...
Have a Nice Day!
Also, if you have a special news event you would like posted on the Newswire, also please send them along, I would be happy to help. My ronlowe@nbnet.nb.ca address is checked daily and Newswire reports are posted, usually, every 7 days.
Anyway, as for the Rest if the Nexus, I seem to have some time off from work (don't work until Saturday), so I might be around a little more often this week... Doing a little "Spring Cleaning" :P...
Anyway... More later...
