Aquatica v3.0 Nears Release
The new Aquatica site, Codenamed AquaticaV3, nears completion... only one section remains to be done, one that is new for 2001...  The rest, for release on March 21st! That's all I can say at this time ;)...

Aquatica vs SS Atlantica Resolved
During rampant accusations and turmoil caused in the Aquatica Yahoo Club over the last week, surrounding recent accounts of Plagerism brought on by iSoaker.com and Aqua-Zone, and other things involved in SS Atlantica's recent addition of a Full review section to the site. All controversial reviews have been removed from the site, and the site's 11yr old webmaster, Sapper, has formally apologized to BudgieSoaker for stealing the title graphic to Aqua-Zone v2.7(Which can be seen by going here!). He still has images stolen from the Nexus on his site, which I would let him use if he asked, but to the current time, he has not. Sapper has also announced retirement from the Aquatica Yahoo Club until June, but still is currently posting on the club. No one has to Leave Aquatica...

Drenched Wench is in Da House!
Aquatica welcomes yet another website in the Ring... This time a well developed, thought out fan-site with an Adult-Oriented perspective... Perhaps a future hero to all the Adult Crowd, This summer, Drenched Wench, I hope, will stimulate a whole new wave of "Soaker-Lust" among the 20-120 Crowd! No matter what you're wearing... :)

Aqua-Nexus Announces The Fuzz Factor!
2001 will bring a new form of Review and Benchmarking to the Nexus. You peruse other Soaker Websites for second opinions, third opinions... Now, in 2001, you will be able to get a Second opinion right here! With C-WSLer "The Fuzz"'s very own "Fuzz Factor" line of reviews. Also coming, the Nexus Rating System...
For more information, go to the Aqua-Nexus Soaker Link Yahoo Club. I can answer any questions you have in there too. :)

Anyhow, that appears to be all the news for now...If I missed something, flame my Email account, my Email Address is jeremy@webrfamily.com...

InsideTheWeb.com Message Boards are no More...
Due to low internet revenues, InsideTheWeb.com has been forced to close it's doors as of March 9th, 2001. Since 1998, InsideTheWeb's style of Message board, has become the most widely used board for SuperSoaker webpages, Some of those pages include: Hydro World, Water Weapons of Mass Destruction, SuperSoaker Tech Institiute, even the Old Message Board on the Nexus. While the Active Message boards have been replaced by ones from Bravenet.com, and Bravenet offers a much better board, it's sad to see a long time ally die. It will forever be our past.

Aquatica is Joined by AquaFire!
Aquatica welcomes yet another site into the Webring today. AquaFire - http://aquafire1.homestead.com/titlepage.html , becomes the 15th site in the webring since Aquatica's First Round of Cleanups... Welcome Aboard!

Aqua Zone reviews a 1-3-5
The Aqua-Zone becomes the first site to review a CPS 1-3-5. Sadly, it's about as useless for battle as predicted. The review calls it the CPS Equvalent of the XP85, having 5 nozzles, spread out in a fan setting. I'd say it'd be worse than the XP85, because at least all of 85's Nozzles could be fired straght. Naturally, the gun recieved a low 5/10 rating. See for yourself...

First Report of March 2001!
And with Spring coming up soon, and a Season about to kick into gear in the Southernmost regions of North America, we begin to feel that all too familiar urge...  I know I have... Fixed my 1700, blew a balloon up with my 3200, Getting my Arm back in shape by fully pressurizing an XXP175 with Air only... It's a sign... Here, there may still be a foot of snow on the ground, but I'm happy to say it's melting!
Err, anyway, It's only a matter of time for all of us, but for now....
March is Preseason 2001!

Anyway, in the first of the New 2001 Style of news Reports, March 2001 touches off on a new road... Introducing: Headlines! You find them at the top of each news paragraph from now on... Another development of Project Nexus-3...

And now, the News!

iSoaker.com Reforms
A little late on reporting this... on March 1st, 2001, iSoaker.com entered into a Spring mode by releasing a Surprise overhaul of most of the sites workings. Good Job. Go See...

Aquatica Cleans House
Aquatica Webring, the webring started by The Aquatica Organization - Run Co-Operatively by iSoaker.com and Aqua-Nexus, is in the process of cleaning out some of the sites that have been adrift since last summer... Their Webmasters have been contacted, and those who do not reply within a week, are to be booted from the Ring... Some sites, those without proper contact info, already have been Booted...
Those sites include:
Tsunami: The New Super Soaker Wave
Water Weapon Revolution
SPLASHDOWN
On the other side, Aquatica webring has recently made another addition to the webring. Super Soaker Atlantica - http://www.howdyneighbor.com/bhorvath/Ben.htm, has become the newest site to join the Ring. Welcome to Aquatica!

Still no new Reservoir at SuperSoaker.com
As said in the February 22nd edition of the Nexus Newswire, the Release of the First issue of the SuperSoaker.com Reservoir has been further delayed. No final release date has been set. I personally hope it will be up soon.

Aquatica Announces Home Site Reforms
Aquatica has announced that the Home Site - http://winkyweirdow.tripod.com - will be undergoing reforms that will change the way that Aquatica looks, more than ever before... They will be released, hopefully, on March 21st.

Meanwhile, at the Aqua-Nexus
It's been slow lately, but some work on Aqua-Nexus v3.0 has been progressing. Style-wise she might remain the same as the highly successful v2.6+ setup, but the next update is to be considered a "mostly content" upgrade... Why change a style that works when time could be spent to bring more information your way!
In that sense, Nexus-3 will change the way things are done here on the Nexus... Aside from a few Navigation tweaks, the way you view information on blasters may never be the same. The Already Detailed Reviews of Guns on the Nexus will Multiply, to consist of more information than you could possibly need!
So, to the effect of the Upgrade, the release will be completed when the site is ready, and will be unannounced (other than Upgrade Status Reports on the Newswire). It should be a smooth transition starting in April, and slowly Phasing out the rest of the site by Mid-May.
