And Remember...
Peace, Love and Water War!
Also this day Marks the 5th anniversary of the 1994 C-WSL Water Cup championship battle between the Super Soaker Warriors and the Water Bombers. The Super Soaker Warriors won it that time. It was also the last battle of the CWSL until this year...
I know no one wants to think of it, not even me, but its nearing Back to school time. But this doesn't neccesarily mean you have to put your guns away. Toss an XP40, 20 or 15, or an NI30 in your bookbag. Shoot anyone who makes fun of you, or maybe a friend who's asking for it... Don't shoot them in class if you don't want them taken away. Have fun.
The AquaNexus Redesignment project is still underway. It is still not near completion, but I'm hoping that it might be done by mid fall. (even though that may be a little exaggerative...).
I know no one wants to think about it, but the truth remains that the
Summer is drawing to a close. It'll still be warm in some places even into
fall, but in Canada, we'll be lucky to make it into the first few weeks
of September...
As such, it is time that we start thinking of alternatives to Super
Soakers that can be done in the winter time. Paint Ball has always been
a favorite of many, and still I haven't tried it myself, but it isn't quite
as cost effective as SSs are. (As I've heard, it is quite a hefty price
for a single battle, but the battles are worth it.) So naturally, there
should be alternatives, that are much cheaper, and as Cost effective as
Super Soakers. There are two I can name. (If there's more, please email
me). There is Nerf, and the Almighty Lazer Tag/Laser Challenge. Some
Nerf guns are actually made by Larami (SuperMaxx Series). I recommend Lazer
Tag, not because it's of higher technology, but because I've been playing
it for years longer than I've been dealing with Super Soakers.
So When this season is done, don't stop fighting, just pick up a different
gun. A Paintball gun, a Nerf gun, or a Lazer Tag gun. And remember, Shoot
to kill.
Thanks for watching!.
In the news today is more on the New MiB Alliance Homepage. After the scary thought (well to some) of a Pokemon theme to it next year, MiB Alliance Leader Paul Quinnell has announced that the new Name will simply be just "MiB" No "Alliance", No "Homepage", just "MiB". This is good because it will be new, yet the same MiB site everyone's grown to love. These reports come from the MiB Alliance Yahoo Club, Go there and join today...
Also, MiB has put up badges for Its club members to put up on their
websites (one is present on the Nexus main page).
Here it is, pictured below.

This rather fancy logo has been spiced up buy the NeXuS's own Super
Soaker Warrior, turned into an Animated Image with Firing 2000s and pumps
that move. Pictured Below is the small (132k) version. To see the Larger
(232k) edition Close-up, click on the Animated Badge.

HTML fragments for the pictures can be found by going
to a page located at the MiB site here...
Also, the Background music on Flash Flood has changed.
And for those concerned, the AquaNexus will be undergoing a Site Layout update for next season. No details yet, but the Nexus will be keeping it's name.
And thats the News.
In the news are several updates from around the webring. Aquatechnology
has updated the layout of its Armory Section, and has added a tactical
review of a water hose. A useful tool in the waterfighting circuit (but
in my area is only used for self defence while refilling).
The Brynet-Hydroland
has also updated its Layout. Prehaps soon it will include an Infromation
update, or even a decent links page.
An MiB Alliance
Copy Cat Club on Yahoo has officially been disbanded by request of MiB
Alliance Leader Paul Quinnell. The Copy Cat groups Webpage is yet to be
taken down. See
the Copy Cat page here (Note: it may not still be there) (Also note
that The Copy Cat's main page used to be a complete rip of the Official
MiB Alliance page.)
And thats The News...
Also I would like to Thank everyone who came out in full support of the Nexus after Last Saturdays Thrashing of the Nexus by Water War's webmaster Tactician. If you missed it, you can see it on the 8/8/99 entry of the NewsWire, or Read the Email here.
In other news, the Webmaster of the MiB Alliance Super Soaker Page has announced in the MiB Yahoo Club that the MiB Page will be largely closed down at the end of this month. This comes to us as he will be creating a new Super Soaker website at a new Location to be named for "something now related to MiB Alliance". At the end of the month, all that will remain is, and I Quote, "I'll leave a cover page up which will basically tell everyone that I'm updating and I'll leave my links page up so you all can still find Super Soaker sites online."(Paul Quinnell, MiB). He also stated that the new site will be up Between January and March of 2000. More Information on this when more comes out.
Also, Aquatechnology has posted the pressure tank sizes of the XP 90 and more importantly, the Star Wars Droid Rifle. It isn't much, and I don't think it's really worth it to buy the gun. See for yourself.
And once again, ends todays report. See it all first on the NeXuS NewsWire.
Also a full listing of the E-Mail I received is posted here. Read The Email
A few days ago the MiB Alliance Homepage updated for the first time this summer. All thats there is a reason why it hasn't been updated this summer. See for yourself. Also, on Tuesday August 10th the Reservior on Super Soaker.Com is to be updated. A Review of the CPS 1000 and 1500 is to be posted. (Two guns that have already been benchmarked here on the AquaNexus.) It'll be interesting to see how they try to compare them to the Superchargers and Larger CPSs.
-=-Due to an Incorrect formula to determine Ounces from Milliliters,
the capacitys and water volumes of the CPSs and the Detailed Benchmarks
had to be updated. (I was using 30.725mL/oz, it's supposed to be 29.5mL/oz).
-=-The Menu selection Bar has been made narrower to increase the size
of the main window. A Site Map has been added
for ease of navigation (I realized that before it was rather hard to find
where things were.)
-=-a List of all Benchmark Reviewed guns can be found on the Overall
Tab of the SS Review and Statistics section. (at the very bottom of the
page)
And
-=-A Review and Detailed Benchmark of the Super Charger 400 has been
added. It can be found on the SC400 review page or just Go
Here...
Also last night a battle occured between all CWSLers in the Premier division. It started when an Ambush attack occured on Doogie (Now Goliath) engineered by SSW an TKD-Warrior, was answered by Blackwolf. More on this when I post a War Story on it.
