A Detailed benchmark of the XP 95 has been posted on the XP 95 review page (or just go here). I was very impressed with this popular classic XP gun, because she performed just as well as it's big brother XP150. However, XP95 hurts alot in capacity.
This new XP95 appears to have been rereleased, as the gun says Larami LTD unlike the original first generation of XPs, which said Larami Corp. Plus I don't think 100 leftover guns per store in 2 different stores in the same geological area are leftover from 1994.
I also would like to inform everyone that I plan to add a Tips and Tactics section. If anyone would like to send in any tips or tactics, please feel free to drop me an Email. Any suggestions are welcomed and encouraged.

I'll just say one thing before I start, Triggers on the 2500 model are built too cheaply.

Yes, Blood RED Sky II's trigger broke yesterday, but god speed and a little bit of luck I was able to open the gun, remove the trigger and repair it with Krazy Glue and Duct tape. Not to mention a piece of wire tightly wrapped around the lengthwise edges of the trigger to firmly keep it in place. When reassembled, the trigger wouldn't work. The force to pull back the trigger was only enough to make the the 2500 to drool from its pressure tank. As the trigger is at the back of the gun, and the Firing valve well up into the front, the trigger has a long metal bar for a connecting rod. I bent the rod at the end where it hooks on (it already has a hook at the end, I just gave the hook one more bend.). After this she fired normally.
After this, at first the trigger stuck for half a second before switching off, but with a light spray of WD40, the trigger returned to its normal operational condition. Perhaps more solid than before. The best thing is, in the event it breaks again, I know what to do.

In other news, soon a NI-MDS or a XP95 benchmark review will be posted.
Also WSLer TKD-Warrior has dealt with a broken CPS 1500 (haven't we all...) The strap of his 1500 slipped and the gun went nozzle first into the gravel walkway in front of my house. The orange nozzle cap fell off, taking the Selector lever with it. It was neat to look at the internal selector mechanism, and the cap was able to be put back on. Unfortunately on his way home the cap fell off again. He has had it returned today and has replaced it with a CPS 2500.

I am happy to note that there are more rereleased guns out there than just the ones listed on the message board (message topic "XP250"). The Classic MDS has been released again. I am not too too sure if it was released along side the "Classic Series" 50 (A smaller XP powered version but with the same capacity as the original 50) in 1998, or with the New Improved (NI) series. At any rate, it's a new release of the first novelty gun is for real. It may look like leftover stock from the days of the classics as she has her original colours, but the Original Classics had one special detail. The Larami logo on the classics said "Larami Corp", But now that Larami is part of Hasbro, all new Super Soakers are listed as "Larami Limited". This new MDS says "Larami LTD". Also the nozzle is XP sized, and not the same pinhole sized nozzle as before.

More on this as soon as I get ahold of one. MDS was my first real Super Soaker, I used to have 2. So for sure I will get my hands on one of these before they go out of stock. (Hopefully, only God can help my puny wallet here...)

Added in a new section into the Information station called "The Twilight Zone". A section for Super Soaker Oddities. Go there and see... If you have any weird Watergun related oddities, don't be afraid to pass them on to.... The Twilight Zone

(Email them to me I mean, sorry)

In other news, I got my 2500 replaced. Named it "Blood RED Sky II". Hopefully the trigger won't break like the other one did, but already a crack mark is starting to form on the trigger. This time I got a Non Reversed sticker Mk1 version. It seems to perform the same as Mk2 except the 20x stream doesn't billow out to 1.5" thick, it stays the same 2/3" as 20x fashions it. The Water Deliverance and Pressure tank size remain the same, but 5x lasts out to 3.5 seconds.

Darn Cheap plastic, the trigger on my 2500 broke yesterday.

Happy Independence Day to all of our American buddies.
On 7/2/99 I reported that my 1500 Broke. I took it back yesterday and Replaced it this time with a CPS 2500. This Beast is Clearly the Most Powerful Super Soaker still being made. I named it "Blood Red Sky" After my favorite U2 Album (Under a Blood Red Sky LIVE - 1983 Island Records Ltd.). It may sound like everything so far is normal, but it sure isn't. The Model I picked up has it's stickers on the reverse Right hand side like on CPS 1500 Mk4, and it's power is clearly above the Supersoaker.com Reservoirs 2500 report of 14.5oz/sec. This thing dumped 20oz in 1 whole complete second, no more, no less, for 20oz/sec.  More on this later when a Detailed Benchmark Report is listed.

Also, as a test battle for the 2500, SuperSoakerWarrior and Blackwolf battled yesterday with the 2500 and a 1000, switching halfway. No winner was declared (and none should be, it incites hard feelings), but SuperSoakerWarrior had a Dry spot on his back (Right Side back, bottom of T-shirt)... SSW Liked the 2500 for the diversity of nozzles and ease of aiming on target. But BlackWolf did not like the Pumping Mechanism due to the difficulty of use. All and all, if you plan to use a 2500, work out. Preferably with upper arm exercises...

CPS 1500 Mk4 isn't the ironclad immortal gun I thought it was. Tonight it became the second 1500 in a row to break on me. I treat my guns with utmost respect and care. It befell to the same "CPS 1500 Syndrome" that killed my last one (An Mk1) as listed in the 5/29/99 posting. (Metal mesh filter fell out of place, creating a messed up frothy low range stream.) As this is the second 1500 to break on me in the same way, I don't think that I will get another one when I take this one back for exchange...
A CPS 2500 will likely take it's place.

Happy Canada Day! On this day also comes a new month, it's July already. Wow, 1999's going fast, So you'd better get soaking, or you'll miss out!
It's sad to think that the older generation around the C-WSL headquarters is unenthusiastic about Water fighting, but its great to think that the upcoming generation doesn't think so. As today's local Canada Day celebrations are being held at the park down my street, during a walk through looking for some SS action, A kid no older than 5 years old Shouted "Super Soakers!" when he saw the NI-30 I was carrying... It could mean that a change is about to come, or the enthusiasm in this dead town just needs to be riled up, not threatened with a CPS 1500 like I've been doing so far. (A small pistol attracts more guns than an insanely large one)... As this is July already, the 1999 C-WSL premier branch may not have much success, but at least 2000 will be a sure bet...
